I've never lived in the UK and this show is one of the best, yet old, comedies I know of..

Next to black books, it's a great competitor.

Top Of the Morning to ya Lagomorphe

I am quite stunned that you just discovered this show , but on the flip side look at all the hours of new fun you have to watch , but my all time favourite show of Father Ted was kicking Bishop Brennan up the arse , Just for the start of the show the lol with Mrs Doyle handing Father Ted a cup of tea as he is thrown into a volcano , it shows that the humour is there even when some do not see it

Easily one of the best comedies of all time. I'm envious that you get to watch them all fresh! Sometimes I daydream about being able to selectively wipe out memories of books, TV shows, albums and movies so it can always be the first time.

Or to wipe out the crap ones...

Fawlty Towers-one of the funniest ever shows on tv. They made just a few and then quit. But the one when he impersonates Hitler-funniest scene ever!

How i love Father Ted, the Irish humor is one of the best in the world.
It is a pity that Dermot Morgan (R.I.P) died so young.
