It will be interesting to have a very enhanced picture. The plane of the left have a more flat shape than the F-18. How can you see a f-23 like nozzle on the picture ? its realy too much pixel.

Currently the going theory is leaning toward a one off frankenhornet demenstrator for 6th gen systems. Not a deep black project but not an advertised one either.

What a nice theory. I'd have to wonder about that one too. Sort of a technology design buck you could hang various systems on, sort of loosely based on a stock-ish airframe you had laying about from previous proposals. Or one-offs for someone you still had bits of in the back shed.

A Growler airframe would be pretty good for something like that. It has some extra power over the Rhino that would come in handy.

It just might. Power is good, you never know when you might have a use for some extra. Either electrical or thrust.

Personally, I'm waiting for the day when they start 3d printing buck airframes strong and light enough to bolt some engines, skin and avionics onto and fly, even if you can't give it your all in test. You could maybe get an impression of behavior and performance.

The whole "one off" world will turn upside down.

They're doing some crazy scale models, so we might not be that far from that point. The QueSST is planning on a 90 foot wind tunnel model.
