I don't think jumping right to revolution is needed just yet.

We could start off by electing some better people though.

Maybe less war hawks, reality TV stars, Globalists, bankers, super wealthy, etc...

Try some real people for once. The kind that can actually identify with the problems that 90% of us have and deal with.

Do you think Trump or anyone in his circle even know what it's like to not have health coverage, or struggle to make ends meet, or have to sacrifice medication for food or struggle with raising children??? No. So how would they ever understand what is needed to fix those things??

Ok explain to me like I'm a two year old how we do that. Our choices were Hilary Clinton and Donald #ing Trump. I was the biggest anti-Trump guy on the boards during primaries. Yet here we are.

I don't want to cuddle with Israel, I don't want to be friends with Saudi Arabia. I don't want hostilities between us and Russia or Iran, not do I want to cozy up with them either.

I want us to focus on our country, our assets, our people, our technology and rebuild our country. To hell with the ME to hell with their oil and rewrite patent law where companies can no longer surpress tech that can change the world because it hurts their pocket books.

Get rid of globalism and we'll begin to see that oil doesn't dictate the world.

So neither poster has a comment on his speech, check.

I caught the last few minutes. I don't like his foreign policy but I haven't liked any presidents foreign policy since I began following politics.

At this point, I'd be happy with someone paying attention to us for a change and giving Americans opportunity for real jobs and real compensation.

This is clearly his platform and I am 100% behind that.

understand that his "bringing jobs and companies back to america" is nothing but a money grab for the rich, 30-40% of the jobs will be automated in 10 years. the average american will still have a hard time finding employment while the rich and corporations will have a nice big tax break. absolutely no foresight or mention of the coming automation revolution or how we are going to circumvent the missing jobs. fast food, warehouses, truck drivers, even certain kinds of nurses and doctors will be obsolete.

I can't believe that these kinds of threads are allowed on these forums today, nothing but blatant bait and grandstanding. Look at the comments so far, nothing but hate. We're fighting each other when we're supposed to be a COMMUNITY. All over one man, ONE man out of 3.5 billion others. They have people so wrapped up in their game that they have turned against each other and are fighting. Meanwhile, the REAL issues are going unreported and are being done in secret.

This kind of behavior doesn't just stay in the mud-pit, it follows you wherever you go. The mud-put is not isolated from the rest of the forums and bad attitudes/hurt feelings can be seen popping up in other threads outside of the mud-pit. It brings an overall negative atmosphere to the boards in my opinion. Some people like arguing and creating enemies over what amounts to nothing for some reason though, unfortunately.

I want all those things too.

But Trump won't do those. He's already cozy with Israel and Russia and Saudi's. He's pissing off a few of our other actual enemies and insulting some of our allies too.

But lets talk about what happens here.

He's already jumped in bed with the Evangelical Right so you can say goodbye to Science and Technology. Unless it has to do with exploiting more natural resources. Also so goodbye to secular education and hello to Religious schools. Not that I'm against those, but not at the sacrifice of secular ones. Also, separation of church and state gone. Civil rights will get hammered.

Then there's the wealth inequality. Gonna see every possible break and kickback going to the wealthy while the poor and middle get screwed over again.

So we're on the same page. In fact I don't even know why you and I are arguing at this point. Oh ya Trump....

So what do you like about Trump then?? What makes you think he's going to do help anything??? What has he actually helped so far???

That's not why we are arguing, I often times agree with you. I was simply disgusted by your original post. I get this is the mud pit but that's just overly divisive.

There are people on this board who openly cheer about the fact that they get Revenge on the Lefties Liberal commies. Which by the way is aimed at just about anyone they disagree with at all. Be them liberal or not or whatever. It's just a big party of people being called Libtards and Socialist Brownshirts, Communists, etc....

But it's not even that. Name calling and labeling goes both ways. But some on the right, at least they say they're on the right, have gone a step more and decided that it doesn't matter what gets destroyed in the process. This is their time to enact some sort of revenge on people they disagree with. Which can be pretty much anyone at any time.

There is no common ground with that. There is no meeting half way on that. No reason. No logic. No progress forward to any kind of mutual agreement.

That is someone who is looking at you saying, "I am your enemy and I don't care about dong anything but destroying you." You see, you can't compromise with people who only want to hurt you. It doesn't matter what you try and work out. Even if you give them what they want or show them that their actions do no good for anyone. Because all they want is to see you suffer. At that point you must face the fact that you can't avoid the fight. Because that is all they are here to do.

You can just stand there and get hit or you can fight back. But that's it because that was their only intention all along. Some people still haven't grasped that yet. They still think reason will work. But it won't. Because they aren't looking to solve anything. They are just out to hurt you. That is the problem.

Now, not everyone is like that. Some really do want to solve problems. But you have to realize that others just want to fight and there is nothing you can say that will change that.

Well, I wasn't saying it to you.

Sure it was pretty harsh. However, it was directed toward someone who made a post encouraging authoritarian power abusing others. That's what this thread is about after all. Loving the fact that Trump attacks "Lefties" at every chance.

Now, I don't even consider myself a lefty. But I don't like bullies or their suck up henchmen toadies who praise them. So when I see certain members who have a pattern of displaying that behavior I sometimes will choose to get in the middle of it and give them a little taste of it back.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Sometimes I just do it for my own entertainment. But like I said earlier. Not doing anything doesn't help either. You're just standing there getting hit. When they go low and you go high sometimes that just means you get hit in the nuts and you would have been better off going low too. I know that's not as catchy of a phrase as the other way, but this is reality and not a movie. Here good people lose all the time because someone else isn't playing by their rules.

I will just say this. If the Democrats would stop making castrating the second amendment part of their primary platform, then people like me, who ironically lean more towards the humanistic beliefs of the Democrats (pre-Obama), and actually
worked diligently in getting him elected in '08, would consider what they have to offer. I tried to rationalize ACA, but I could not accept signing into law the legal authority for the government to murder US citizens without trial or even charge. That put me off from him, and the party that did not seem to protest that, FOREVER! Then he signed not one, but two propaganda laws into force in 2012 and again last year.

As long as the Democrats try to make taking away our second amendment part of their platform, no matter how subtly, I would rather watch the world burn under those who allow me the right to defend myself. If they say "we will give you universal health care and free college, but you have to give up the gun" I will tell them to shove it up their ass and start walking backwards before I am in fear of my life and take action.

So if the Dems want another chance at the throne in 2024, they better knock that # off.

You're full of it, nobody is taking your guns.

Next you'll be saying the commies want your precious bodily fluids, you can keep your drivel to yourself.

No wonder the world has such low opinions of Americans...

Trump isn't your normal politician, he's just an average American (who happens to be a billionaire). Sometimes he exaggerates, sometimes he is wrong, like all of us. He isn't poll-tested and he isn't politically correct. At times that gets him into trouble, but mostly it is just refreshing to those of us who are sick of the PC-politicians who don't mean anything they say, and constantly patronize us citizens. I wish he would be a little more under control, but I'd rather have a President who says what he thinks off-the-cuff than someone who says what is scripted for him by his gate-keepers. I'm certainly not convinced Trump is the real deal, but he's a lot better than what we've been dealing with for decades.

Not anymore they are not, thanks to a Republican majority in all three branches. Again, tell your Democratic reps to stop making that part of the platform, or we WILL watch the world burn. Its that simple. Want me to be rational and vote accordingly? Stop attacking gun rights. Thats all there is to it. Many people like myself will gladly vote for social programs and helping our vulnerable, but they need to #ing back off the Second. Its really that simple.

Again, nobody was ever coming after guns, restrictions on "accessories" and types of firearms.

You're not buying a M61 Vulcan either, nor are you allowed to refine uranium.

What was the proposed "Assault Weapons Ban of 2013" all about? Obama and Feinstein tried to ban "assault" rifles after "Sandy Hook". I just bought an AR15, had that bill passed, I would be a criminal right now. They might not be trying to ban ALL guns (yet), but if you think they aren't trying to take down the 2nd amendment, you are sorely mistaken.
