They're ripping on the sound be tired and played.

New Edition was kinda cool in its day. Today, they can't sell out a single show. Gimmick music just doesn't last. Frankly, it is a symptom of our music. Rare is the timeless classic. Its not really even that often that music doesn't sample older music, or discuss a content that is base and carnal.

John Prine's voice may not be all that great, but at least he was a good songwriter with musical talent. He didn't inspire me to drink another shot, but he's inspired me to think more deeply about the world and my place within it.
