I loves me some King Kong. It was a fun movie. Not great. I liked Peter Jackson's better. I'd give this a 7.

How was Mr. Goodman's performance?

Very good. No complaints about any of the acting.

How was the screenplay. Some critics claimed the story was a bit confusing.

i live in Switzerland at the moment and the critics here vary from "on top of the list" to "what politically degenerate and scornful scrap Hollywood now routinely produces"

nevertheless, i'm looking very much forward to see it, i waited a long time for it.

i imagine the scenery to be outstanding. it was also filmed in one of those enormous caves in Vietnam which are stunningly spectacular and beautiful

I watched it last night.
I would give it an 8 and Peter Jackson's version a 3.
Lots of hints about Godzilla too.

I saw it last night. It's good...but not great and perfect for a couple hours of mindless entertainment.

Did anyone sit through the credits for the cut scene? That was so well done!

I saw it over the weekend at an IMAX. Thought it was very good. IMO Jackson's Kong from the opening to where they leave the island is a solid 10. From that point forward, it's a 3.

I think this version, Skull Island, is an 8. All the actors were very good and I most enjoyed seeing Tom Hiddleston as a good guy. Not just a good guy, but a super badass British special forces good guy.

Goodman was great, Samuel L Jackson was Samuel L Jackson, John C Reilly practically stole the movie. Brie Larson is a heartbreaker.

If you enjoy the genre, I can't imagine not liking the movie. It's well worth a theater trip to watch, especially if you're fortunate enough to have an IMAX nearby.
