Lois G. Lerner, the IRS official who oversees tax-exempt groups, said the “absolutely inappropriate” actions by “front-line people” were not driven by partisan motives.

And that's exactly where the illegalities lie.

Not with the applicants, with the knee-jerky politically triggered IRS.

So that's why the IRS commissioner wasn't fired yet. Keep him on to go before Congress again and report who instructed them to go all mean on the right-leaning groups. That whole business was grossly left undone. We need full answers and the guilty parties charged.
