Not just evangelical asshats, the tards in Cali made it 21 just for smokes.

They are doing it my area too, each city. I live in a very large metro area that encompasses many different towns, it is a nightmare.

Where do they come from thinking that a seventeen year old is developed enough to be voting. Eighteen is actually too young, they are too influenced by desire to be liked at that age to be able to make a rational decision. Some may, but most people do not get wisdom till they are in their early twenties.

I think that California Democrats know they can control the youth, they want them to be able to vote. There is a problem here with the government there in California, it sounds like they are corrupt.

But you are all for 18 YO's joining the military because they are influenced to be like. Yep going to say it, you have not thought this argument out.

The age you can fight and die for your country should be point blank the time you are considered a legal adult in all things. Smoking, Drinking, Voting, Age of Consent, Your criminal record switches to an adult, etc. All these different ages for these things is silly.

Either you are an adult and considered responsible or your not. No more of this half-assed #.

If you're old enough to go to war, you're old enough to vote.

Send some 18 year old kid off to some god-forsaken land to fight a war, but that same kid can't vote 'til he/she is 20, or what ever age? No.

18 is fine.

Soros funded violent protests just to make Democrats look bad so this is no surprise. Just another brick in the wall.

What's funny is that I know probably the same amount of irresponsible over 21 drinkers as I've ever known under 21 drinkers.

I think people are just either responsible or not. Very few ever change simply because of age or wisdom. They either don't change or change because they're looking at their 3rd DUI or something.

Even then they are only responsible because they are forced to be which isn't really responsible at all. They just finally submitted to some other authority but haven't changed one bit.

Raise it to 21 to get most of the college Marxists out of the voter pool.

I say raise it until employed and supporting yourself.

Once you're responsible for yourself and independent, you have quite a different outlook on life.

I'm just repeating what I've heard so many people on these boards say. Whether Soros funded them or not I don't know, but many here believe he did so I'm just going along with that logic. If he funded the violent protests then he did it to make Democrats look bad and slap another brick in the wall between the two parties.

Soros has no political allegiance, he plays both sides for his own benefit, as do other rich people in high places.

Hey, I don't even agree with the fact that humans should be going to war. If it wasn't for greedy power hungry people we would not need to have armies. If it was not for dishonest people, we would not need police. But we need the armies and police because people do not respect others rights enough so we could do without them.

a reply to: infolurker A bad idea. I think the draft age should be 21 and voting be changed back to 21 to.

Just based on my own personal experience, I would disagree with that. As a teen, and even a young college student, I was a horrible little snot, once I had to start providing for, and taking care of myself, I changed radically. My transformation came at 23, not 21, but I'd like to think most people are a little ahead of where I was. You honestly don't think you grew up immensely in your early 20's compared to your late teens?

So for you, it is ok for 18 YO's to fight and die for their country, but not be allowed to vote?

You have no sources, but quote them as fact. You are fake news, your Orange Messiah would be disappointed in you.

You honestly think Trump has any political allegiance, he plays all sides against each other, you really need to educate yourself.
