You're a loser when you choose to be a loser and root against Trump to your own detriment.

Yeah, I'm sure you'd like that to be the "end of the story" but it's not.

The White House admitted that they had no idea that Flynn was working for Turkey.

What else didn't they know?

Flynn isn't the one with multiple FBI investigation is his wake -- at least one of which is ongoing and likely to be referred for prosecution by Attorney General Sessions.

That would be Bill Clinton's wife.

Hillary Clinton is not the topic.

The apparent massive incompetency of vetting in the White House is.

Flynn was appointed NSA Director while working for a FOREIGN POWER.

Do you have a comment about that?

2 words...

Tim Geithner and Tom Daschle.

5 or 6 words ...

They're not the topic either.

Please address the topic which is: Michael Flynn, acting as a Turkish Agent while working for the Trump Campaign, which was unknown (and undiscovered) even when the Trump White House appointed him NSA Director.

Well first off Flynn was National Security Advisor. He was not in charge of the National Security Agency. Two different things buddy. He is an appointed aide to the president not subject to confirmation. That is no where near the director of the NSA. Two different things.

Thanks. Someone was kind enough to provide that correction earlier. Yeah, I messed up big time.

Bit of an update (much of which has already been posted)

Yeah, the White House Knew ... CNN 3/10/2017

The White House acknowledged Friday that President Donald Trump's transition team was aware that retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn engaged in work that would likely require him to register his consulting firm as a foreign agent before Flynn was tapped to serve as national security adviser.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Friday that Flynn's attorney contacted a Trump transition attorney to notify the transition of the potential filing, but said Trump was not made aware.

Separately, Vice President Mike Pence, who headed up the transition, was notified in a November letter from the top Democrat on the House oversight committee that Flynn's firm had lobbied on behalf of a foreign power.

Spicer rejected questions about whether the disclosures should have raised red flags about Flynn, saying "it's not a question of raising a red flag."

Huh? They didn't tell the President?

Huh2? There's no red-flag raised here?

Fox News Anchor Smith and Commentator Chris Wallace seem to disagree with Mr. Spicer:

It didn't cost much to go college when I went back in the seventies. It was five hundred sixty bucks a year and you could easily get scholarships to cover that cost. There were no loans, and most older people had money in the bank and even bought cars cash. A four year degree cost less than a brand new seventy one comet back then. What the hell happened to our society?

Colleges in the 70's were HEAVILY subsidized, in the 70's those subsidies were starting to go away, but it was in the following decades where they truly disappeared. Back then, rather than give people money to cover the cost of education, we gave the colleges money to keep the cost low.

Then people got into office who didn't like that we were subsidizing people who were only taking a class or two, or worse failed classes and dropped out. So we moved the risk to the student themselves rather than the taxpayer. College cost just as much back in the 70's per person as it does today, the costs were just kept hidden.

Actually back in the seventies, a lot of people had jobs that paid well and had insurance and bennies. They were factory and construction oriented work, the jobs at restaurants were for the young. The number of people with good jobs paid taxes and these taxes paid for most things. Cops would stop you and give you a written warning, the courts did not need fines to pay the workers wages. The prisoners made license plates and people were working all over the place, if you did not have a job it was because you did not want a job. You could go from job to job and they had CETA on top of that so in the summers the young would have work working for the cities or counties. Yes there was Welfare, for those who had kids and they couldn't make enough working to support their families. There were some who abused it too.

You did not need a college education to get a job, you started work and they taught you at a reduced rate for a while and in six months you started to make some serious cash. Apprentices learned and got paid to learn the job. What the hell happened to our society? Now you have to pay big bucks and lose four years of earning to get a job you could have just applied for. It took a couple of years of learning to get to a decent place though, sometimes four years. I remember when the trades people made way more than the gravy jobs like nurses and work on mild factory jobs, ones where you put a part in place on an assembly line.

This is true, but it doesn't explain the cost difference for college. Colleges used to be very heavily subsidized, but in the past couple decades they've had substantial cutbacks to those as states look to trim budgets.

They might even be correct, but those 2 have been so anti-Trump for so long, you can't take what they say at face value, even loyal Fox viewers don't trust them. Propaganda has it's downside.

The middle class paid more taxes, because there were many in the middle class. these taxes paid for the college. Lowering the tax rate was actually a Republican thing, they had no problem with making hidden taxes. The Democrats actually expanded on this a lot, but did not cut taxes, they just expanded the hidden taxes. They made every department pay for itself. The water bills in our house in the early nineties were about thirteen bucks, the city got money from the state and feds to help keep rates low. Now they get about ninety bucks a month for water in the city. Also the electricity has gone way up, lots of taxes and fees included on those. Same with the Phone, lots of fees and taxes on your bill. They raised the gas tax rate too, all hidden taxes and doing it this way compounds the tax. People do not even know how deep these hidden taxes get.

A (White) House of Lies

"Hearing that story today was the first I'd heard of it," Pence said

Top Democrat sent letter to Mike Pence in November warning of Michael Flynn's Turkey lobbying

As it's said, a fish rots from the head down. A part of the American electorate chose to elect a known serial liar as POTUS. It seems, though, that they bought an entire basket of rotten fish. And thus The Great Rot has taken hold.

The worst thing is that Sean Spicer, when Fox brought it up at the presser, said "I don't think we knew that."

Think about that ... they didn't know that the NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR was working for a foreign government (Turkey, in this case.)

Begs the question ... what else didn't "they" know?

I'm thinking they'll get hit with a lot of this kind of stuff. Remember, Trump doesn't want briefings by the CIA, etc (and takes his "briefings" from Fox News, apparently.) Professionals that should/would/could have been working for them and supplying them this news are either not included in meetings or have been dismissed from their jobs. So they're going to be walking blindly into a lot of things.

I expect to see more of this, actually.

"There’s Been a Lot of Lying" indeed! Re Pence, from a month ago

While Governor of Indiana, Pence used the old "had no knowledge" chestnut to distance himself from scandal. And it was just as absurd then as it is now.

Perhaps most famously, Pence claimed, exactly as he is now, that he learned from the press about the proposal for a state-run and taxpayer-funded news (propaganda) outlet: "I frankly learned about the memo from press reports late Monday."

He made this incredible claim despite the fact that two employees had already been hired; that "a governance board of communications directors" had been established; that a draft story had already been circulated; and that Pence himself had tweeted about it.

And he claimed that he learned about it from the media, just as he is claiming now.

This is his go-to move to try to disassociate himself from troubling stories that go public via leaks. He feigns ignorance, because it's preferable to look like he's out of the loop than intractably corrupt.

Don't believe him for a second. And urge the corporate media to give Pence the scrutiny he deserves, instead of letting him get away with the wide-eyed innocent routine. Again.

Sadly, PETER DAOU has been proven correct:

Dem leaders typically respect press, societal norms, Constitutional precedents. GOP leaders don't give a flying f, as long as they win.
....
Trump is the living embodiment of the GOP philosophy of win at all costs. When only one team adopts that strategy they tend to dominate.
