It's a good thing Flynn was fired then.

Wasn't it Obama who ran under hope and change? How'd that work out? I'm starting to see a trend here.

Obama is not the topic; please, contribute and stay focused.

Thanks.

But the White House didn't know that they had turned the NSA over to a Turkish agent!

You're okay with that Cowboy?

Is the NSA still in the hands of a paid lobbyist of Erdagon?

No.

Did Trump screw up by bringing Flynn in?

Yes.

Go stage a coup if it pisses you off so god-damned much.

I'm just glad he was fired before more damage would have been done.

Trump is a business man. His top priority is to scratch the back of those who scratched his back first, by electing him. Real world. At least he's honest about it and not a lying "Stronger Together" bullchitter.

Shep seems heavily invested in his Trump hatred.

I wonder what is being held over his head?

I suspect it's more that he watched his other Fox News colleagues get huge contracts at other networks and wants to make sure those that do the hiring at CNN and MSNBC, ET AL., know he can go full on lib at the drop of a hat.

Right you are, I should have noted that this problem is now exacerbated by unlimited campaign finance from everywhere, foreign and abroad. Tight campaign finance reform could help.

But in the end, it comes down to citizens as they are our employees. The sad truth only about fifty percent participate in presidential election speaks volume to those in charge. Most simply don't care.

Which is worse?

They don't know how to properly vet a person, or don't know what vetting is. (lame)

Are lying through their teeth thinking they are so clever nobody will find out. (corrupt)

Or they simply do not care, take their chances, and respond when caught. (incompetent).

Seriously, which is worse?

Wasn't there also some high intrigue and conflict of interest questions about Trump's property there in Turkey and something about President Erdogan having one of Trump's associates jailed for his role in that coup?

edit on 9-3-2017 by windword because: (no reason given)

And the CIA turned over the most powerful malware over to God knows who.

I don't like Trump either. And as much as I hate to adopt any motto from him, this swamp needs a draining.

So ... you're okay with a Turkish agent being appointed Director of the NSA?

The White House says they didn't know?

Is rank ignorance ALSO the mark of a business man?

I know Mr. Trump relied on others in the vetting process ... but he needs to get rid of those folks as well.

Massive failure.

At least it has some comedic value.

Alptekin added that he had asked for some of the $530,000 in payments to the Flynn Intel Group to be returned to him because of his dissatisfaction with the company's performance.

He's been consistent in his criticism for weeks. Not quite at the drop of a hat.

Besides, it is LIBERAL to expect basic competency from the White House? The Truth?

It's not a partisan issue; it's an issue of what seems to be gross incompetence in the people Mr. Trump has chosen to assist him.

It's amazing. I wonder what some of these members would be saying if it were Barak Obama who had willy-nilly made appointments of people with unscrupulous business dealings?

Yeah, I'm sure you'd like that to be the "end of the story" but it's not.

The White House admitted that they had no idea that Flynn was working for Turkey.

What else didn't they know?

Flynn isn't the one with multiple FBI investigation is his wake -- at least one of which is ongoing and likely to be referred for prosecution by Attorney General Sessions.

That would be Bill Clinton's wife.

Like the Clinton's who were doing business with Saudi Arabia? Which may or my not have influenced decisions on Libya and Syria.
