HAHA! I did not force ATS to experience "A Day Without A Woman" by removing my female self from ATS forums, and posted all day long in glorious femaleness!

Watch it Butterfinger, or your name will be changed to Buttercup.

I put my wife and my female office staff up on a pedestal every day. I open the doors for ladies. I pay equal wages for equal work. I send flowers for holidays. I try to be a peace keeper.
I hope they leave me the hell alone on women's day.

Same.

It's easier to look up their skirts that way.

I woke up with a blinding migraine, so instead of working my normal morning shift and taking my son to school, my husband stayed home as he was going to have to anyhow to oversee the removal of the fallen tree from the storm damage and he took the kiddo to school while I slept in on my meds. Then I went to work this afternoon instead of this morning.

Why? Because I don't feel like my rights as a woman are particularly threatened.

My first world problem?

Seriously? ok.. my first world problem was I totally forgot it was Womans Day, I completely missed it. Damnit, and it made absolutely zero impact on my life.

That's it.

Well-wish? I'm not quite sure that was the point of the day, but..

I did the same thing I do everyday because opting out and not doing it is not an option and, in fact, is a privilege of the elite.

Most women don't have nannies to care for their kids when they can't. Most women have to go to work, no matter what, becasue they need the check. The laundry still needs doing. Dinner needs cooking. Homework still has to get done. Medicine doled out. The next day needs organizing.

Get real.

My hubby has never gone on strike or complained once, neither will I. Okay, well, in truth, I might whine a bit.

Let's see, I fixed my wife breakfast......like I do every day.

She went to work, because simply not showing up would count as points against her, reach 9 points and you're automatically terminated and after 22 years she didn't want that to happen, so she went to work.

I spent the day cleaning house, doing laundry, home schooling our son.

She came home from work and I fixed dinner......like I do every day.

She then spent the evening relaxing playing Fallout 4, because I upgraded her computer with a new video card and it plays better now.

Then we went to bed.

This morning I'll make her breakfast again once she's up and about.

Pretty much same ol same ol

One of the guys I work for thanked me for everything I do

He thanks me regularly, because he's good like that. But yesterday it was because he thought he was supposed to, and because I was wearing the reddest freaking blouse you've ever seen. It was like the 911 of red blouses

So I spent a lot of time thinking about that and how you could either understand that this was about more than what it seemed - or it was about less. Like everything in life - depends on your point of view. I know how I felt about yesterday - that's all that matters

My first world problem of yesterday was wishing I wasn't being thanked for being a woman or for working while female

That - and how lucky I was to not have my feet caned

Weeellll ... sorta-kind'a

Imagine a loaf of bread. There's the heel (Augustus). Then there's the soft tasty part that's totally bad for ya. The two of us are always looking for a convenient deli meat to squish in-between us. Which is the segue back to my original post where making sammiches was only second best.

I like and resemble that analogy.
