Why no foreign military bases here?

we'll never pull out of germany. ivan poses to much risk over there. putin could get offed and the we have some commie hardliner wanting to regain all the land that was part of the soviet empire. then ivan rolls over poland and the pushes into eastern germany. while that is happeing, Latvia, Gerogia, Lituania, The Ukrain, Belerus, Checz Repuplic, Slavakia, Yugoslavia, all become ivan's bitch in a matter of weeks. itll be a long time until the US pulls out of Germany. not to mention that ivan could make a try at Afgahnistan again.

Simple, the us is a superpower, we provide or forces to support friendly governments in less stable parts of the world. We don't need major support here for two reasons. 1st, Canada and Mexico are allies, so we don't share bortars with any of our enemies. 2nd, Most of those bases are left over from the cold war.
