Zhirinovsky does not speak for Putin. No American president dares to fight Russia in Syria. That I can assure you. Not even Hillary Clinton.

Okay so another post about the sins of the past.. And the sins of our great great... Etc.. grandparents past. I still don't understand the modern mentality against them.

I don't see any sign that the desire to control has abated. Anyone who is for Brexit would also want Russian influence not to get any closer. It's the same argument.

Though the American attitude is more problematic, since they're not under immediate threat.

It's nice to know that Russia has such a relaxed, easy-going system of government, that a spokeman can offer views relating to foreign policy without clearing them with the man at the top.

Oh, good grief! The NYT?

Give me a break.......that's the cheerleader of the Leftist Democrats who've been pushing the Anti-Putin/Anti-Russia thing for the last 6 years. There's no news or information on the NYT to help explain anything about Russia, its all opinion spun up in so-called "facts" from anonymous sources.

The Russia thing is really pretty simple. The Deep State needs a bogey man and unfortunately, Russia is it.

Hmm that would make sense. I'm in my twenties and as far as I know the sins of Russia are no worse than the sins of America... Not to mention we've actually utilized a nuclear bomb against a population when they haven't so...

The sins are about equal from 1955 to 1980, moving forward the US may and I use the word may have edged forward a bit. Pretty much even from my view as a 59 year old.

Russia is a socialist country. BIG government. BIG public sector. Free healthcare. Free college. Cheap public housing. Free electricity and water. It's everything Bernie Sanders talks about.

Zhirinovsky is a fascist. He is a rival of Putin. His party is LDPR. Putin's party is United Russia.

Ask anyone from the Ukraine they will tell you why Russia is quite rightly still viewed as the bogeyman.
