Sessions not alone: Russian ambassador also met with numerous Democrats

I'm confused as to why meeting with an official Ambassador is an issue for anybody... Isn't the whole point of countries having ambassadors to foster communication between countries and officials? Isn't meeting with an ambassador a normal thing to do in government regardless of country? Aren't ambassadors invited and welcomed into various countries for this purpose?

Yes it is, but democrats are trying to lash back at the release of information from wikileaks and DNCleaks, and because they lost the election. That's why they are trying to make it such a big deal.
