I have a feeling time was of the essence. There has been too much hidden, clamped down, and too much covered up. Nunes probably felt like he had to get this info to the prez timely and let him make the decision whether to involve the DOJ or not.

It's so good to see so many of you dropping the pretense that you believe there's an actual investigation going on here.

Warms the heart.

*burp*

Oops, must have been a gas bubble.

Possibly, who knows how the Democrats on the committee are trying to spin things... I saw in the hearing that 7%% of it was just conspiracy theory for public consumption.

Trumps enemies

Who are Trump's enemies Marg, why don't you clear that up for us?

People like you, oh and of course the horribly partisan Democrats in Washington who care more about power than people.

I asked Marg not you, but ok, what makes me his enemy?

Ask in a PM if you want it private, this is a forum.
I would suggest you are his enemy because you run around declaring him mentally unstable and unfit to be President based on being upset you didn't get what you wanted.
What else would you call yourself?

I declared him reckless. I declared him irresponsible. I provided a list (not my own) of why a large portion of the country are only giving him a 37% approval rating - of why people saw him as unfit for the Presidency- but I never declared him mentally unsound.

As far as not getting what I wanted.....what was it I wanted?

You didn't want him as president that's for sure and even after a democratic election you are amongst an extremist minority attacking him at every opportunity with nothing more than personal animus. Why would anyone consider you anything but an enemy of Trump?

And here is the real "meltdown".

It does appear that uncomfortable truths strike a chord.

I bet it did.

You made a specific claim, got called-out on it and then lashed-out with that pro-Trump hissy fit.

Embrace the chord. Don't make it uncomfortable.

So Trump does not have enemies?
You might actually believe that, LOL
I like the meme... it's a copy of a Hillary one (not very original), but lovely that you postured on top your moral high ground not too recently when a meme was posted... and there you are... I think you said something like meme's signal you have nothing else to say and have lost the argument...

Time (past time) for an independent commission to investigate these very serious matters.

It's more than obvious after today that Chairman Nunes is nothing more than a Trump waterboy.

Let's leave all this partisan BS behind and appoint a Special Investigator and/or Commission.

I'm not sure we don't need to get the Supreme Court involved, after today.

It's obvious that the Republican leadership members in the House are little more than toadies for President Trump.

Let's have someone of unimpeachable respect appointed and conduct a REAL investigation.

Free of politics, free of intrigue ... free of the level of BS we've seen today.

Who's with me?

And back to the pigeon on a chessboard tactic, I see.

If you want to have an intelligent debate and discuss the issues, you may want to drop the partisan attacks, emotional outbursts and show a little honesty.

Your approach and undying loyalty to Trump has become concerning. Obsessive, rather.

You used to be a bit more reasonable.

Edit:

I like the meme... it's a copy of a Hillary one (not very original), but lovely that you postured on top your moral high ground not too recently when a meme was posted... and there you are... I think you said something like meme's signal you have nothing else to say and have lost the argument...

Indeed. I did, in fact. I happen to hate memes.

But the shoe fit, so I decided to wear it.

Can't be perfect all of the time.

Nah.
You want Republicans to play by the rules when the Democrats ONLY play by their rule book as we've seen in the horribly partisan and nasty confirmation hearings and selective liberal courts?

What stage was bargaining in the stages of grief...? i think it' step 3.

3. Bargaining
The normal reaction to feelings of helplessness and vulnerability is often a need to regain control–
If only we had sought medical attention sooner…
If only we got a second opinion from another doctor…
If only we had tried to be a better person toward them…
Secretly, we may make a deal with God or our higher power in an attempt to postpone the inevitable. This is a weaker line of defense to protect us from the painful reality.

I congratulate you on your progression.

Considering that everything you think in this case is in total opposition to what I think you'll excuse me if I don't take your word on the interpretation of the language won't you?

Ill look more closely into the details. I know the claim and connection to Carter Page's trip to Moscow. And that changes that favored Russia were made . I don't know the exact wording but I know where to find it.
And I will.

Please do.
You will find it was an amendment that was changed - one sentence to soften the specific action committed to in response to Russia. The original language included military force... silly to put in a platform and rightly changed.

I want the truth.

I'm not interested in playing politics at this point.

If you are, argue to keep the farce going in the Congress.

If not, argue for an independent investigator/commission to be appointed.

You didn't want him as president that's for sure

I voted for Trump.

I fought extremists for 20 years while I was in the Corps. I know extremism pretty well, and I truly don't fit the bill. Besides, why would I do that, I actually WANTED him to accomplish everything he actually said he was going to accomplish and frankly still do.

Why would anyone consider you anything but an enemy of Trump?

That's a great question....I'm not an enemy to anybody at all...in fact, if I could, I would even protect you and everyone else on this forum if I felt a national security issue threatened your lives. Semper Fi and thanks for the wide brush strokes painting me as the "enemy"

If you really wanted him to achieve what he said, you would not be slating him after 30 days in office at every opportunity as your post history shows.

I'm doing that BECAUSE the words resonated with me.

Heal the middle-class

It's because I want those things to happen and because he's not allowing it to happen that I am part of his largest critical base.

But when what is on display from Trump (the reckless accusations, the inane self-importance, the ridiculous self-serving attempts at aggrandizing) which leaves no time for actually DOING the job, that one has to question if he ever meant it.

Seriously though, good luck to all of you and us....I hope we don't need it.

Let's engage in some speculation. shall we?( I emphasize "speculation" so that certain members cannot claim that I am making statements of fact without proper evidence.) Nunes claimed that Trump and members of his organization were recorded during telephone conversations with people who were being investigated. He stressed that the targets were not Russian, which suggests that they were domestic targets under criminal investigation. Trump was in the casino business in New Jersey, which suggests that he was caught talking to individuals being investigated for racketeering. Thank you, Congressman Nunes, for reminding us that President Trump has long been rumored to associate with organized crime. I hope that will be the next investigation.

Funny that so many of our friends here thought that this was some great "vindication" of Mr. Trump.

In reality, it's the beginning of the end.

No one can deny, now, that the Congress is directly cooperating with the Executive branch to "make this go away."

We're looking at a Constitutional Crisis like we've never seen.

The only thing that can save this is an independent investigation free of politics.

It's hard to understand why you only gave him 30 days.
He didn't exactly change much in his language and approach from June 2015 to now.

On a serious note, my worry is that the severe split in society is going to create SO much animus that vitriol is going to seep into big decisions. That IS dangerous. At this stage i think it unavoidable.

Stick to the Russian theories, you were more fun then.

Another of many possibilities.

I think we shouldn't forget the Turkish connection. Apparently, Mr. Chaffetz stirred a nest at the White House today with his demand for information on "who knew what, when" in regard to Flynn and Turkey.

Interesting timing, eh?

And that's not even considering the mundane possibilities of money laundering ...

It will now be that much easier to justify an independent investigation. So there's that.
This does nothing to negate the fact that they had to investigate his people nor does it negate any evidence they may have collected. It's a side show. An act of desperation.
It doesn't change the investigation at all.
