Comey has made no statements or comments on the issue.

I'll try short n sweet,

After 5000+ posts it appears no one disputes prior administration was monitoring Trumps campaign via ostensibly foreign contacts and disseminating the raw findings widely throughout domestic as well as foreign intelligence community.

Many claim that monitoring foreign contacts with Trump campaign is not monitoring Trumps campaign.

Many claim foreign contact justifies any action including wiretapping, dissemination and bending or breaking laws governing IC.

Current debate seems to revolve around justifications for surveillance ad infinitum.

Secondary debates within is about illegality of disseminating IC data regards American citizens which is illegal.

Was FISA warrant issued, if so was perjury committed.

Which came first, chicken or egg lol.

Rest is political bickering from partisanship.

Hope that helps.

Look at this, over 275 pages in this thread over a claim that Trump got from the fake news site, Breitbart news. The right wing lemmings will do anything to justify the Russian agent. And right wingers wonder why they were referred to as deplorables during the election.

I dunno, I think that's too wide a stroke to paint, by assuming ALL Republicans are deplorables (not saying you were doing that, I know there were many times over claims made by the Left that used those very words). I also would like to think that Trump isn't stupid enough to SOLELY rely on Breitbart to make such an egregious claim.

What I DO think is 2:

1) That Trump falls prey to some executive "cheerleading" from within his administration that eggs him on to make these outlandish claims.

2) That, at the heart of all things, we're ALL Americans (those of us who are) and the divide being created here, out there, almost everywhere is so dangerous between us that we're eventually going to regret it. When there was a visible, common enemy we all fought together on the same side as one nation....look at us now

Are you saying that President Trump lied then?

Because he's very clearly said on more than one occasion that he wants to be the President of ALL Americans ... and that includes Left, Right, Middle, Independent, Democrat, Republican, Communist, Socialist, Green, Libertarians ... etc.

Americans include much more variation than merely the folks who agree with your ideology.

Why can't he make the accusation against Obama, whilst still wanting to be President for all Americans?

He can make an accusation against Obama -- I didn't say otherwise.

The post I am responding to refers to a phantom menace of "the lefts corruption" ... that is the comment that I addressed.

OK.

I also think, however, that those that are proven to be corrupt in their efforts to diminish or discredit the President and his administration should be jailed. He can still be their President when they are behind bars.

Very good point made by the interviewer in the video - that the Clinton campaign was already planning the Russian narrative long before the hacks of the DNC...

It would make sense seeing the Clinton's would be well entrenched in the covert operations of the CIA both foreign and domestic .

Those who are proven to be corrupt, i.e. those that have broken the law, should face justice ... regardless of party, religion, race, etc.

To suggest, however, as the statement I responded to certainly seemed to, that there is something inherently "corrupt" about anyone whose politics could be considered Left or Liberal or whatever ... is irrational, empty rhetoric.

I think it's fair to assume form what we have seen that the culprits of the leaks and undermining of the President are on the left, but yes, anyone who is corrupt to the extent they break the law deserves punishment.

Assuming is fine, but why assign generic politics to it? Perhaps it's bored career bureaucrats? Perhaps it's a Republican who didn't agree with Mr. Trump's success? A Christian who doesn't believe the hype about his conversion and thinks that he's an imposter?

Assigning motivations purely on assumed politics, especially something as generic as "left/right" really doesn't seem to move us ahead in understanding those motivations, particularly if we generically ASSUME.

In my opinion.

So when someone makes a general statement against Democrats you have issues with it however when someone anonymous makes a general statement you try your damnedest to attribute it to Comey.

You are "assuming" something he never said that never came out of his mouth and something thats never been confirmed by Comey, the FBI nor the DOJ.

again

Why do I think its BS?
* - The FBI is not the only agency that can obtain a FISA warrant.
* - The FBI cant comment on ongoing investigations.
* - FISA and the investigations around it are classified 9 ways from Sunday.
* - Trump never claimed the FBI was behind it.
* - The FBI cant comment on ongoing investigations being conducted by another title 3 agency.

People must demand the DNC turn over the "hacked server" to the FBI for analysis.
