He also said it wouldn't be appropriate for Trump to just release the info because they would be accused of being interfering with Congress investigation.
thank you.
fair enough i guess.
i wonder if he thinks it appropriate the way trump tweeted his allegations saying he has evidence.

My take is Julian Assange did. As an investigative journalist, he has immunity from hacking.

i got home from work right as the press conference was ending.
does anyone know what spicer said about trumps allegations?
possible proof?
i have a feeling not much of anything was said but still....might as well ask
He said that they were going to leave congress do an investigation and he had nothing new to add.
He said he personally hadn't seen the evidence Trump was referring to but he wouldn't be in those types of meetings.
He also said it wouldn't be appropriate for Trump to just release the info because they would be accused of being interfering with Congress investigation.

He's the boss of the intel community now. Why would he not enjoy this power entitled to him?

I think Trump knew about the wire since November and discussed it with Bannon.
He got pissed when Bannon leaked the story to Breitbart. That derailed his internal investigation and tipped off those under scrutiny. He's trying to play it off as fresh news to keep them from getting too spooked.

That's why he kept his private twitter account. On this account he can attack anyone, say whatever wild and claim it's a joke without getting into trouble.

So Twitterverse is OK venue to release information? But he can't and didn't share with his Press. Secretary..or anyone else in his cabinet by all accounts...since no one knows what he is talking about?
The information came to him in the morning at Mar-Largo? Just before he also exposed on twitter that Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't resigning from apprentice, but had instead been fired for not having HUUUGE ratings like himself?
At somepoint you have to distinguish between trolling and reality...even if just in your own mind for the sake of preserving internal logic centers.

The president is a civilian too. He is the commander in chief but only has a civilian rank.
