A Crawford Central School Board member is facing backlash for trading insults on social media and posting critical comments about President Donald Trump, including using variations of the phrase "clean head shot."

Here we go yet again...

Lets be honest, there were plenty of people who thought Obama was a foreign-born Moslem agent who had infiltrated our government.

And on occasion, people plotting to harm the President were arrested.

But these "threats" against Trump seem to be much more frequent and mainstream.

Werent CNN reporters and hosts discussing Trump's plane crashing?

I think they also talked about protocol should something happen to him during the inauguration...

Like I said, there were plenty of people and groups who had bad intentions towards Obama but I dont recall it being this frequent, let alone promoted by the corporate press...

The manner in which Trump made his statement about the NRA and Hillary means that it could be taken as 'Vote against her'.
Here is what the school board memnber in question posted on Facebook:

“Only towards the trailer trash KKK supporters that make up Chump’s support base,” Tuttle wrote in reply, using one of several disparaging nicknames he employed for officials from both sides of the political spectrum, this one for Trump. “I can’t wait to see the stats as his welfare leeches finally die. Best thing ever. #notmypresident #MAGA with a clean head shot.”

It is obvious that the person is talking about assassinating the President.

Really, it can? The nra has enough people to do that on their own? Is that how Obama was stopped both times?? No there was one way to take that unless you were a Trump supporter.

As to your point (because I hate when people deflect), have you ever uttered the phrase "I'm gonna kill x"? Because When I'm driving I get very colorful in what/how I'd do it. Doesn't mean I'm going to though. Did this person have guns & blueprints? Because if not then it was just talk that all of us engage in from time to time.

I voted for Trump and I am a dues paying NRA member, however, I am not a "KKK trailer trash supporter" deplorable, Socialist, Fascist or Progressive...I am an American and a patriot. The NRA is a legislative body that has very effectively organized to protect our Constitution and Bill of Rights from the Leftists and Globalists.

The man who was quoted threatening the President also threatened his supporters and should not assume he can make threats without consequences.

And the award for saying dumb things that will make you lose your job goes to!

Tuttle was elected to the board as a Republican in 2013 to fill out an open seat on the board and re-elected to a four-year term in 2015. More recently, he has identified himself as a Libertarian.

Dude isn't a "liberal." Like I said I don't agree with what he said, I wouldn't say # like that, but come on.

We should be better than this petty labeling on ATS.

Machine gun ban,background check,magazine capacity limits,suppressors,$200 tax stamps(poll tax).

Stop giving them your money.

How come they haven't removed that person from the school board already. It should have been done within a day. We do not need people like that in charge of our schools. I think until that member is removed, all funding to that school should be canceled.

I saw it and laughed...I don't buy it. Not for a minute.
I know quite a few Libertarian leaning people and I have never heard them spew that type of rhetoric, in fact the ones I know think while Trump was not their first choice, they are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise and some actually like some of his policies.
Pretty much the only people that I have seen call for him to get a bullet are the deranged Leftists,

It is an elected position. The school board has no authority to fire an elected board member. Voters can do so when the seat is next open for election.

As a follow-up, and subsequent to the date of the article, Tuttle suggests the results of the FB trolling had a positive outcome because now people are engaged.

“If my disparaging social media comments get more people involved in deciding the future of our students, then all of our Facebook trolling will have meant something,” he told the board and audience members. “Seeing too few who care about enough to even run for office is far more offensive than any comments any of us have made on Facebook.

“The expectation that I should (censor) myself,” Tuttle continued, “will not occur.”

He even offered some implicit criticism of those who had come to criticize him, telling them, “It’s nice to see you finally involved,” and challenging them to continue participating in board meetings.

A Facebook group that as of February had 900 members was organized to garner sufficient support to replace him when the school board seat is next up for election. Until then, and even if fellow board members request him to resign, the decision to do so remains with Tuttle.

You make a good point but where would we be if no one stood up to the Left? I have years of qualifying with weapons and I am licensed to carry a concealed weapon, I live in a state with no restrictions on who can carry a concealed handgun....frankly I disagree with that law because it assumes that anyone is competent to use deadly force.

I don't think the majority of Americans need a machine gun but if they want to jump through the government hoops they still have the right. My state has no mag capacity limits and I hope Trump fixes the suppressor issue and a couple other things that make no sense. I will just keep paying the NRA because something is still better than nothing.

People are their own best lobbyist, and it doesn't cost anything.

The second was clear.

The rest of the bill of rights is clear.

The 14th amendment is clear.

The state has zero authority to tell people what they can own, or how many rounds it can fire with the squeeze of the trigger.

Even our next door neighbors have zero rights to tell us what we can or can't own.

The right of the people.

The right of the states.

Get to keep and bear arms uninfringed.

People should not have to jump through any hoops because of what another person does.

That is a violation of the 8th amendment.

All of those are in play for a single issue.
