There is no guilt until proven.

What is that, some kind of absolute truth? LOL.......

There is a difference between someone being guilty of something, and someone being found guilty in a court of law. That is the end of the process, of which we are still at the front of. Next will be the appointment of a Special Prosecutor, now that Sessions has been recused, and an investigation. None of that could happen without a trail of evidence and the appearance criminal activity. And, perjury, especially by the top law enforcement official of the "Free World" is a crime.

Yes we are at the start of a process, still mired in accusations of multiple Republicans being Russian spies with zero evidence but plenty of guilty verdicts being thrown about by people who don't understand the law and who can't see past their noses..

All rather amusing to behold.
I'll wait for the appointment of that special prosecutor, lol.

So what?

Sessions was a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, not a part of the Trump Campaign.

Stay strong Deplorables, they ain't done yet....

It will never end. Just one faux scandal to another.

Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?”
Leahy wrote.

Sessions responded with one word: “No.”

Key word "about" the 2016 elections...

I agree, but I'm not sure of your point here. Sessions could have had all kinds of meetings with the Russians and still say "no", right? Also "about" is a very open ended word...

I would have liked a more defined question like "any contact with the primary focus of the 2016 election"...

"I don't recall, but most of these ambassadors are pretty gossipy, and....this was in the campaign season, but I don't recall any specific political discussions,"

I just do not see the lie in all this... Did Sessions meet with the Russians to discuss the 2016 elections directly or not. There is a big difference between having a meeting that the primary topic is the election compared to some side gossipy in a meeting that had nothing to do with the elections.

Who would remember idle chit chat from a year ago...

This is all grasping at straws....

It's all very weak though and laughable. Democrats are drowning themselves. The party is utterly humiliated.

Opps, Nancy "never met Kislyak" Pelosi is pictured in a meeting with.... Kislyak..

She's already walking back her earlier denial and going for the "I meant not one on one" line

www.politico.com...

Here she is on video lying or just forgetting (which apparently no one else is allowed to do).

That was his conversation with Elizabeth Warren. It was the questions by Al Franken that prompted Sessions to lie under oath.

It's hard to follow Franken, but his long winded statement/question was about whether there was direct contact to the Russians about the Trump campaign... Can we agree?

Sessions basically said as a serrate a time or two he did not have contact or know of any.... Sessions primary job the vast majority of his time was as a Senator, right? And doing his basic Senator job had nothing to do with the elections...I really do not think Franken's line of questioning shows any form of lying...

Lets get the bottom of all this...

1. Do you think Trump/Sessions had meetings with the Russians to fix the elections? Do you think Hillary lost because the Russians fixed it for Trump?

If this is not your your premises then you can't say he did wrong....If this is your premises then I think you are in denial that a large number of liberals really dislike Hillary...

It doesn't matter what "my premise" is. What matters is that Jeff Sessions talked too much, which any lawyer would advise their client against, and indicted himself when he voluntarily failed to tell the whole truth.

The fact that the Russian Ambassador in question attended the National Republican Convention, when Trump accepted the Republican nomination, signals the Ambassador's interest in the Republican party's agenda. Which was, by the way, changed at the insistence of Trump to withdraw US support for arming Crimean rebels fighting against Russian occupation.

Whether or not this "gossipy" ambassador, according to Sessions, discussed his election interests with Sessions doesn't really matter, because Sessions is compromised and his future depends on whether or not the Ambassador chooses to "save" Sessions by telling the press that he and Sessions never discussed the election, (who can't be taken seriously if he does) or to say they did, which will end Sessions career and possibly put him in jail! Russia has leverage over Sessions, and that's unacceptable for the Attorney General of the United States!

He'll be gone soon. Either he specifically neglected to disclose directly relevant information, or he 'forgot'. Either way = unfit for office. Simple.

Sessions had been affiliated with the campaign since February 2016 and has worked on projects with trump going back to 2005.

What's laughable is you think Trump is working for our best interests and I remember that the only thing more slimy than a politician working for businessmen. Are the businessmen that pay the politicians. All of whom are currently trying to crawl their way into trumps swamp...er I mean cabinet

Also Russia is now considered a capitalist country ran by a ruthless ex kgb agent more akin to a mobster than a politician. Who has joined us in the practice of installing puppet governments for their own personal gain and considering the fact that Trump is$300,000,000 in debt to Deutsche Bank. A bank that launders money for some of Russia's wealthiest residents and politicians. Which means he is technically owned by this bank until the debts are repaid.
Considering Exxon Mobile has a $500,000,000,000 deal that Rex Tillerson put together and requires sanctions against Russia to be dropped.
Considering that is something that only Wilbur Ross, our newly installed secretary of commerce, can do. Who coincidentally is vice chairman and majority share holder of.... dun dun duhhhhh Deutsche Bank.

Considering all of those FACTS the dots are becoming quite clear. Now it's time for all of the various government agencies investigating this to finish connecting them.

Regardless of how you feel about her I strongly suggest watching this

Yes. Making America great again.

Sessions and Trumps supporters should have met with the Russians before the election, for goodness sake, the US had been pushing war in Syria and Ukraine that the Russians were objecting to...as in threatening nuclear war. And the Democrats recognize that necessity to.. here is a link showing the Demos meeting with top Russians... and how about that Schumer sharing a Krispy Kreme witn Putin.
Get a life you screaming anti trump hypocrites.

Appreciate it. Anyone can spend time amongst those that affirm their world view. It does take either courage or a massocist to actively seek out views contrary to your own. It invites vitriol and dishonesty...but I think there is virtue somewhere in the often fiercely angry and sometimes hateful dialog. If I wanted cheers and affirmation I'd post on huff post..here where folks strongly disagree is where liberals and conservatives should debate and decide what being an American means.

Sometimes on road trips I admire old beautiful farmhouses...classic American front "porches"..ones which you can imagine a family watching sun sets on the fields they tended.

I admire these porches from loud and busy expressways that pass offensively close to abandoned homes. Just saying ...tending to your porch while ignoring the evolution of the landscape doesn't pay off in the long run.

Republicans are not thinking long term.
