Who else has noticed in the last week that if you pause a video, then open another tab in your browser and then go back to the tab with the video that the video moves for a split second? Similar to the iPhone's moving pictures feature. I have tested this on 3 different computers and the same thing occurs on all of them. Even here in ATS I was watching a Tucker Carlson video, paused it, went to another tab to research something he said and then went back to the ATS page with the video and the video moved ever so slightly.

I only use Firefox as a browser so I am unsure if it occurs in other browsers.

I assume this is intentional to draw your eye back to the video.

Hmmm. Now I am genuinely perplexed.

Most likely occurs because your video playback is stored in RAM and when the focus of the browser is drawn to another tab the browser allocates ram for that tab. Then when returning the browser redraws where you left off.
Any frames that were stored in memory were dropped. You will see it as movement as the browser recreates the pause point in the video.

I've noticed it recently with Firefox.
I don't mind it but it is odd that it only started happening recently.

Perhaps due to an update? Or maybe you could empty your cache and see if that helps. Firefox used to be a bit of a hog for resources. Also try to disable and delete any unused extensions. See if that helps things.

Good luck

That's just Tucker Carlson, he is never comfortable with his position.

I've seen that. I don't think it's anything.Well maybe it's the video people carrying on secret lives when you're not looking and then that movement that happens is just them getting back into position.

I have definitely seen it. I think ThoughtIsMadness's post on it is accurate enough.
