Some...members of my family would
occasionally attend "special gatherings"
at his island home in Connecticut every
"now and then".
Buckley was a genius and a hell of an
intellectual snob who could rip anyone
to shreds with his logical rhetoric.
We differed on opinion often.
All the same, I always respected his
mental capacity. Whether he respected mine
is a matter of debate. HooHaa
As far as Alinsky,
well he was one of those ideologists
who would promise the poor, the isolated,
the downtrodden, the minorities, and all else
everything and anything ,if they would in return
not only cast their vote in their political favor, but
gather in mass and protest anything at all as well.
After all these years, it is quite clear that the promises
were completely hollow and the real intent was capturing
enough votes to gain or retain power.
After all, pay to play is an incredibly lucrative system.
