Right right ... you're ahead of your time. You're just totally mistaken about Marxism.

Read Agrarian Justice by Thomas Paine if you want to educate yourself on the topic.

And beyond that, the cores of so-called Marxist ideas have been around for thousands of years.

The early Christians were Marxist in many ways, for example.

I think you should stop perceiving everything as a threat.

Perhaps you should take your own advice and stop fear-mongering about women's rights being taken away. Tell me which rights you have lost please. This is as crazy as when the gun-nuts get a whiff of some gun legislation being proposed and go about screeching, "They are coming for our guns!"

Could Roe v Wade be reversed

Donald Trump

As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, I'm pro-life. I'm totally against abortion, having to do with Planned Parenthood. But millions and millions of women -- cervical cancer, breast cancer -- are helped by Planned Parenthood. So you can say whatever you want, but they have millions of women going through Planned Parenthood that are helped greatly. And I wouldn't fund it. I would defund it because of the abortion factor, which they say is 3 percent. I don't know what percentage it is. They say it's 3%. But I would defund it, because I'm pro-life. But millions of women are helped by Planned Parenthood.

Donald Trump

There has to be some punishment for women who get abortions.

Source

We could pull up source after soruce talking about denying women the right to vote, denying them access to healthcare, equal pay, etc.

excuse my ignorance as someone not from america but dont Americans have the right to peaceful protest (which the womens march did). also if memory serves me correct werent there protests against obama though out his time in office.
most of these women (and some men) are fighting to keep rights women are goign to loose such as health care ect ect, one state is even taking the right to her own body where she can only have an abortion with permission from her husband how is that right your going back to the victorian era let alone the 50s.

and yet, the NRA seem to have quite a bit of clout with the republican party, don't they??

how many laws have been passed by the states to protect the christians right to discriminate against the gay community... all they would have to say is that serving this person in this way goes against my religious beliefs and according to these laws, they are free to discriminate all they want...
what else is against some people's religious (should be christian beliefs probably since I doubt if these laws would protect islamic, buddhist, native american beliefs as much as they would be used to protect the christian beliefs.
just what could this lead to???
well, I often hear in the christian camp that women should be staying home and caring for their kids and not be in the workforce.... could such protection be carried over to protect employers if they chose to believe that women shouldn't be in their workforce?
what about single, divorced women... there was a time when they weren't looked down on too favorably in society and obtaining credit, housing, ect was much more difficult. could these laws extend over to landlords and such who chose to discriminate on the bases that God doesn't accept divorce?
heck there was a time when it was considered a biblical responsibility for the husband to physically discipline his unruly wife.... and yes, I know for a fact that some christian branches see those domestic violence laws as being a hindrance to them being able to act in a christian manner as the head of the household! I could go on and on with this one!

how many states have passed laws that require a women get permission from the father of the baby that she is carrying before she obtains an abortion since trump has been elected? such laws have already been declared unconstitutional by the supreme court, but since congress has successfully stalled obama's nominee for around a year (one of the reasons for this obstruction was that the nominee made a ruling that conflicted with the sentiments of the NRA crowd) well the states are seeing that empty seat as holding the potential of getting a different ruling this time around. the leaked plan to change obamacare includes the defunding of planned parenthood. again, I could go on and on how the republicans don't really give much of a crap when it comes to women and their reproductive healthcare or rights!

Oh please Gryph now you're just making up stuff.
First Karl Marx called for the abolition of the bourgeois family. Ever hear of a thing called the Holy Family that consisted of Mary Joseph and Jesus father mother and child? That would be the nuclear family Marx called to replace with the state (or village to use Hillary's now infamous term).
Jesus never called for redistribution of the wealth on a massive government scale. Jesus never called for massive welfare programs of governments. Stop using the idea of charity to promote Marxism.
Jamestown did have a brief socialistic system which failed. The United Soviet Socialist Republic failed. Cuba failed. The FF set up a system
Based on free enterprise and something called the Hidden Hand you might have heard of it.

You people are so removed from reality you don't even know what communism is. Also there are plenty of militant right wing organization that train everyday with actual guns. Not pussy hats, stop over reacting. Being afraid of the other side of the political spectrum is self defeating.a reply to: DBCowboy

You don't think there's a threat?

Roe v Wade is under threat.
ACA is under threat.
Planned Parenthood which does a hell of a lot more than provide abortions is under threat.
Gay marriage is under threat.
Obama's EO on bathrooms in federally funded buildings has already been repealed.

If you don't care that these things are lost, that is your choice or your belief system and that's okay for you, no one is asking you personally to march or boycott or fund. Millions of women do care and want these things to remain, they have the right to demonstrate about it.

The article in the OP is nothing but a poison pill. The women who wrote the Guardian op-ed clearly are not the ones "behind" the upcoming march.

You mean like how Nancy Pelosi had her crocodile tears over T Party in brooks bros clothing. Kinda funny but I think she was remembering her days in the Vietnam nam era....
And the T Party were all like waving little flags and wearing Stars and Stripes and carrying signs that said Rescue Lady Liberty....oh wait that was my own sign .....

Watch there be violence and the protestors ignore it...
Or in this case protect a male protestor who assaulted a female conservative reporter at a womans rights march.

Women's rights!
But only for those who subscribe to our exact ideals sounds about right.
This is just a continuation of that whole **** show.
