He will get the respect when he earns it.
Right now he's shown himself to be racist, misogynistic, and a dirty liar.
What's there to respect?
He's skipping this dinner because he's a chicken.

You know the worse part about his win, it was due to protest vote.

People thought Sanders was screwed over, so they voted third party or Trump thinking their vote would not help him win.

The second worst part about this is, come the midterms and presidential election people will protest again.

They will vote for anyone not connected to Trump, meaning it will not matter what kind of butthead runs, just as long as they are not with Trump.

The next president of the United States of America will only have to say, I do not like Trump or his politics and it will not matter if he or she is qualified, just as long as they are anti Trump.

Well, Sanders was screwed over. Although I think most of his supporters probably decided simply not to vote rather than vote for either side. I'm sure some may have gone Trump but not that many.

I think most just felt cheated by the whole thing and said F*ck it.

Those of us who favor minimal government and maximum freedom are so very fortunate to have avoided yet another pathetically-failed leftist regime like Obama's when Trump beat the unaccomplished and inept wife of former president, Bill Clinton.

President Trump's refusal to play by the rules set by the leftist press as exhibited by his refusal to go their pansy-a** vanity dinner is ample proof of that.

The Left is angry. I get that. They took a massive beat. When the truth comes out, their utterly useless drunk of a candidate didn't even win the popular vote -- the one last thing these desperate little snowflakes are clinging to.

Trump continues to beat these haters of freedom like the Domestic Enemies they are.

You know who was never afraid to show up at the White House correspondents dinner? Obama. You know why? Best president of all time doesn't have to worry about such things. You know why Trump worries? Worst president of all time.

When you suck that bad, you don't go to the dinner. Ask Nixon.

If you really think anyone else on the planet other than Donald Trump will win the next US Presidential Election, you haven't been paying attention.

He's a winner.

I don't get why any criticism of Trump must automatically be down to loser leftist snowflakes. It's an incredibly childish response to what is a valid criticism against a man who seems to be able to handle none like a normal, well adjusted person.

It's almost like any comment on here that is not fully worshipping him has to have a disclaimer that it's not coming from a Hillary supporter just to avoid the inevitable, stupid strawmen.

America was screwed whichever candidate got in.

It's not a valid criticism, though. Would you go to a party where the majority of people there actually hate you...feel absolute hatred towards you? Where it's not "humor" at play, it's actual hatred on display in order to bring a person down?

He made an intelligent decision and anyone who faults him for it is the definition of stupid.

No, it is proof he is a coward and a brave man would have went and took the insults. So no matter how you spin in, he is a coward.

The biggest snowflake of all is Trump, he has proven time and time again his ego cannot take anything negative said about him. Watch his press conferences, he acts like a spoiled child who cannot be told he is wrong. He rants and raves about his negative press and continues to lie about mundane things such as crowd size in order to make people think he is a winner..LOL

Trump continues to beat these haters of freedom like the Domestic Enemies they are.

Sure buddy sure.

It shows he is a coward, plain and simple. Brave people attend roasts and then give it as good as they got it not hide.

Just admit Trump's a thin skinned p#ssy princess who has no problem dishing it out, but can't take it. He's mentally handicapped and morally bankrupt.

The elites and their obsequious consumers left out in the dark again. It would have been a self-involved, finger-pointing, drivel-fest anyways. Sitting in someone else's echo-chamber is neither entertaining, nor classy.

And for the record -- liberal demi-God Jimmy Carter didn't attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 1978 either.

Carter isn't a good benchmark.

One of the worst and most-failed presidents of all time (care to tell me what his legacy is?) enjoyed a fawning leftist press that shared his socialist vision of a government-run population.

Thankfully, Real Americans saw it otherwise and in 2010 clipped Obama's wings. After that, he lacked the power to pursue the "fundamental transformation" he and his small minority of core followers so desired.

By 2014, it was clear America had rejected Obama and his massive embarrassing failures. No Democrat "president" (if Obama was even eligible to begin with) lost more down-ballot seats. Obama was a one-man wrecking crew for the Democrat Party.

I have no idea what failed stuttering dimwit Obama will put in his library. Will the whole thing be a "Failure" section?

When you people go on rants about how horrible Obama was, you look like someone who is trying to convince themselves of how horrible he was because it is not convincing anyone else.

He was not horrible not great but he did save America from a recession so there is that legacy.

Heck, if I was elected president, I wouldn't want to even move to DC. I wouldn't want too many secret service guys here either, I wouldn't want to be cooking for a big crowd.

Why do presidents have to go to things like that? I would never want that job. I'd rather invite the family over for a bbq and sit around a campfire and cook.

The President is Head of State, attending such functions come with the territory. Not going to this is Trump not doing part of the job.

" its a tradition and a fund raiser....
nothing wrong with being a part of it "

About Time Some Traditions like this one go the way of the Dinosaurs , Especially One that Only Serves the Whims of the Social Elite in this Country .

Sounds awfully Communist of you. Not a fan of inequality and some people reaping higher rewards for doing jobs that are considered to be of higher value?
