Looks like Amazon is starting to become like a nation unto itself, in fact a nation within many nations, with it's own air force, navy, and it's army of truck drivers. And it's starting resemble WOW from the HG Wells movie 'Things to come, with the introduction of it's drone carrying mothership blimp.
Will they take over?

Ever heard of the new show "The Corporation" produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck? It's about a dystopian future in which Corporations are given unlimited power and actually replace the government...

In the show the companies authorize military strikes on each other, their laboratories, etc. They steal each others top scientists and technology (or sabotage it)... it's insane

Great show and if left unchecked, is our future but if regulations get too bad, Idiocracy will be our future, most likely both, as the 1st would lead to the eventual last.

That whole world in that show didn't seem very stable.

As much as I dislike some of amazone ... wow what a business and inovation one of the Internet Giants

Why I'm always impressed bye them is they adapt so fast there original business was books made with paper they where profiting from there own undoing and thrived and practicaly made digital books a normal thing

In a way they helped preserve history bye digitalizing books

As we all know once it's online it's hard to get rid of u sure can't burn a ebook

They are getting away with millions in the UK. Their offices are here, their depots are here but they are registered in The Netherlands and pay hardly any UK taxes.
Now you think if they were airborne, no stable country to charge them . Easy aint it.
