It seems with some tweaking tesla coils can reproduce Music notes.

Which of course leads to quite a fantastic and bit dangerous light show.

You could be the neighborhood mad scientist party king with tesla coil speakers.

Trust me I have thought about it.

My first step is building a mini Tesla coil then moving on from there.

Not true.

The mad scientist instrument of choice is the Theramin.

But a mix of this and a Theremin would become the ultimate (you know, you place your hand in proximity to the output and it makes you scream the melody).
