It shows an assault. Not an assault on free speech. Here's another assault for you:

You like the delusional title?

Gavin McInnes Punches Violent Leftist after Being Provoked at the Deploraball Protest

The "Leftist" is "violent" because he's talking and the (I guess?) non-violent Gavin McInnes shoves him and then repeatedly attempts to punch him in the face.

Trump does seem to have a tendency to surround himself with people that have very questionable ties, whether it be Right Wing propagandists or links to nationalists/supremacists.

Let's not forget that he even has his own potential Rasputin, with Bannon.

This is BS. Unless you have been watching all the lefty news outlets. Or NPR ect.

Some Simularaties between Rasputin and Steve Bannon .............

Czar Nicholas also trusted Rasputin. He became his advisor whose one word was enough to place an unknown person as a minister at court. But Nicholas sometimes decided government questions of a higher scale by himself. Rasputin was strongly against the First World War (1914 - 1918) and tried to convince the Tsar to make peace with Germany, but Nicholas held his ground and took Russia to war, which was a disaster for his country, with more than four million Russians loosing their lives.
Rasputin lived in an apartment on Gorohovaya Street. There, peasants and aristocrats came to visit him. Peasants and the city’s poor worshiped Rasputin and believed in his holiness and sometimes asked for help and money, and aristocrats, knowing his influence at court, visited him only to gain his favor and use it for their career growth or just because it was ‘fashionable.’ He also seduced women with his charm, preached and entertained. It was rumored that he organized his own sect performing religious sex rituals. Many reports of Rasputin’s unholy behavior reached Nicholas. But he dismissed these reports of Rasputin’s outings to bathhouses, beatings and violent sex with society women and prostitutes. He laughed them off by saying “the holy are always slandered.” Even Bishop Theophan tried to tell Nicholas to distance himself from Rasputin, but for this he was relieved of his post and banished.

Bannon frequently employed a rhetorical strategy that framed an issue — or even two unrelated issues — as an either/or choice.

In response to the Dallas police shooting in July, and amid questions about police violence, Bannon posed a "mega-question for 2016": Should Americans let "street hoodlums" or "duly appointed authorities" run the country? Similarly, he asked whether police should be "reprogrammed to look the other way" from criminals or be "tough-but-fair" and enforce the law.

Bannon described three converging forces — the rise of "jihadist Islamic fascism," "state-sponsored capitalism," and what he called the "Ayn Rand or the Objectivist School of libertarian capitalism." He asked those in attendance at his Human Dignity Institute speech to ask whether the US should put "a cap on wealth creation and distribution." Moreover, he frequently asserted that the "Judeo-Christian West" was at its most prosperous when capitalists were strong believers in those faiths.

Bannon spent much of the HDI talk criticizing aspects of capitalism, particularly what he called "crony capitalism" and "corporatism," which he asserted had overtaken the US and Europe. He repeatedly trashed bankers for the 2008 financial crisis and the US government for bailing out the banks and creating "a free option" for the financial industry to gamble.

Hmm.... Both had the Ear of their " Leader " , but Seldom did their Influence Sway Him . Both were Tolerated , but kept in Check , Will Both Face Simular Fates too ? ...........

It's amazing how well your description of Rasputin fits Johnny Podesta.
He may be the reincarnation.

Pretty despicable calling this guy Goebbels, but coming from the OP, what else would you expect. That's all the left has, outrageous name calling, if you disagree with them then you are Hitler.

No no no and NO!! the comparison is apt because he is running with fk-ing Nazi wannabes not because of a simple disagreement.
And it was Goebbels , Hitler's minister of misinformation and propagandist the comparisons was being made.

Be careful how you espouse your stance, it was said long ago by Huey 'The Kingfish' Long (D) that the wolf will surely come to the US cloaked in sheeps clothing and your OP indeed lends credence to this idea.....

The real fascists continue to show their true colours - through their aggressive & violent actions and deeds and cable news interviews.

Except your quote is more than likely wrong.

msgboard.snopes.com...

Whoever said it, if anyone did, I doubt that it was Huey Long (1893-1935). During the period of time in which he dominated Louisiana, from when he became governor in 1928 until he was assasinated seven years later, the term "Fascism" only referred to the philosphy of the political party that Mussolini founded in 1922. The term did not come to mean any "totalitarian government system led by a dictator and emphasizing an agressive nationalism, militarism, and often racism" until sometime after Mussolini was killed in 1943.

More likely that fascism will come as described by Sinclair Lewis.

From It Can’t Happen Here: “But he saw too that in America the struggle was befogged by the fact that the worst Fascists were they who disowned the word ‘Fascism’ and preached enslavement to Capitalism under the style of Constitutional and Traditional Native American Liberty.”

Of course if we are looking at literary allusions it serves to look at Orwell's quote.

War is peace.

Freedom is slavery.

Ignorance is strength.

Sounds like something Trump would say or imply.
