A complete 2000 mile long wall ?

Well, maybe we could contract it out to the Chinese.

They have experience and they should be good and rested.

If not the Chinese....Who ? The Mexicans, I don't think so.

A physical wall is impossible. Even if you have the labor force.

Let's be logical in this highly charged times we live in.

They will build a wall of technology. They have some airborne platforms.

It will be overhead, sensors and quick reaction teams.

Walls in the cities of course.

To be honest I love Mexico and the Mexican people.

A 2000 mile wall between the American and Mexican People.

We don't need a physical wall.

It would stand in perpetuity as an embarrassment to our Generation.

If walls are such a terrible idea, why does Israel have one?
Why does Saudi Arabia have one?

And there's one more, let me think.....thinking......thinking...
...OH YA, why does MEXICO have one?

Are those the countries you would like to emulate?

If not... well, you know.

Hasn't this already been addressed?

I thought it had already been suggested that the majority of the wall, would actually be a fence?

Maybe I have it wrong, but yes a 2000 mile wall is the impossible dream for Trump.

Well If it's a good idea for Mexico, then I see no reason they should complain if we have one.

Is it the wall that works there or the snipers and machine guns?

OH and BTW I know a lot of people got suckered into believing Mexico has some great southern wall, but they don't.

You say you saw the picture of it... Yeah, I saw it too. It was a picture of a wall in the desert. FYI there is no desert on their southern border.

I am hearing stuff that it will be down graded to a long fence, but I say lets build a Great Mall where American and Mexican products sold to both nations tax or duty free, build a great wall encourages 2000mls of grafilthy, a great Mall encourages wealth building...save me a great free spot to sell Jerk Chicken, beer and ma own hot sauce ,after all it's was my idea..

edit ..btw and I bet Mexico will most definitely help pay for it.

Trump the businessman starts with a complete wall paid by them.

I think it's a ploy to get Mexico's attention.

It would be nice to have some help from Mexico.

A 2000 mile wall is not impossible by any means.. also if the wall were to go ahead it would be massive for the economy of the usa. Such a structure would create a massive amount of jobs and rather than be a negative memory, would be a great engineering feat..
Also you are guarding the most vulnerable part of the usa.. not just from Mexicans but any other foreign undersirables from entering illegally and by the easiest route.

Ahh I see, well I guess they are just lucky not to have a wall, and instead face a wall of bullets.
Sounds like a lovely time.

Point taken,

Instead why don't we work with Mexico and solve our differences.

If they worked their side and worked with us on Security.

We could be more secure. They might be more secure as well.

How about the "wall" is a metaphor for invading our neighbors and wiping out the cartels, so they have a country they feel safe in and we can keep our people off of their meth and heroin?

Their government has been ineffective and their ineffectiveness, and/or corruption is causing real consequences, including daily dead Americans.

This would be in self defense, they have failed to get it under control.

Opening the floodgates will not work on the current welfare and income tax structure we have.

Your neighbor is a meth and heroin dealer that is wrecking the neighborhood, you fix the problem, not build a taller fence around your house, while the neighborhood burns.

Just thinking out loud, but I am guessing the Mexican citizens would approve.

Drones cost fuel. A wall is a force multiplier. Think AWAC. A squadron of fighter jets coupled with an AWAC is many times the capability if there were no AWAC.

No matter how much diplomacy or extra security.. The usa is always exposed whilst an open border exists.
It depends what people find more important.. really.. personal preference.
Personally and for mamy reasons I believe a wall would be a positive addition to the usa.

I hate to break it to you but there's no wall between Mexico and Guatemala. You probably got fooled by one of the many memes like this:

That's actually a fence on part of the border between Israel and Egypt.

Talk of a US mexico wall, you know its never going to be built because they talk and talk and talk about it. The 2000 mile long pipeline will be built in no time, with as little talk as possible.

If its profitable, like the pipeline, it will get built. There is no profit margin in a border wall, no matter how you cut it.

Walls are the last redoubt of dying empires.

Empire building brings many refugees form other lands into the "Empire", the complaints from the citizenry to keep them out result in promises to... wait for it.... keep them out.

That's probably it.

Also it was a collection of youtube videos of Mexico discussing putting a wall there, id assumed they had by now.

But guess I was wrong.

Fair enough, Mexico doesn't have a wall on it's southern border.
