Extremism and violence is not acceptable from EITHER side. I denounce ALL violence. Since I lean right, as a libertarian, it is MY responsibility to ANNOUNCE my disdain for ALL acts of terrorism from right wing leaning jerks! (since the right is where I LEAN to the most)

Terrorism =
The use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

ALL sides need to DENOUNCE it, there is NO EXCUSE FOR IT.

Every side will have some screw loose nut cases. But the left is something else, they fund, train, and preach hatred. Just look at Antifa, and Obama's OFA, they are well funded and trained for violence. It's an organized terrorists movement.

The problem is that while not all terrorists are right wing Trump supporters, all of the ones on that list are.

Every moderate right wing Trump supporter should be condemning those people - I mean, why aren't they doing something about it? They don't report it in advance or anything....

I think they need monitoring.

Maybe the travel ban should cover the countries they are from?

Sure, go ahead.

And that makes BLM, OFA and other left wing rioters into left wing terrorists and dissidents. I'm good with it.

Terrorism is like porn.
It's hard to define, but you know it when you see it.

I've always said that BLM is not a liberal, far left maybe, but never a liberal. I've never understood why the conservatives lump us together with them. I guess that's pretty much the point of this thread.

But isn't rioting in an attempt to intimidate those you disagree with "terrorism"? I surely think so. Perhaps our definition of terrorism is different.

Any attempt to intimidate through force, threats of force, or even making rude gestures could be, and in some cases should be, defined as terrorism.

I prefer them to be classified as crimes. Simple crimes, with varying degrees of severity. Most of which would be covered by laws already on the books.

If there's one thing we really don't need, it's more laws. Hard to keep track of the many that we already have.

But how often does the "left wing terrorism" end up with killing people?

I think many liberals are being "lumped" into the same category as BLM because most liberals have not denounced BLM as a terrorist group. It's kinda the same thing as when liberals make excuses for people who do things like...say...set Trump supporters' hair on fire. Some liberals DO denounce it, but the loudness from the rest (including the liberal media, they didn't even report on it) is too deafening.

Events like the shut down of Milo's speech at U.C. Berkeley is just one other recent example. VERY few liberals denounced that one, at least here on ATS and in reality. The liberal MSM certainly didn't denounce it.

There is however, a new movement of REAL classic liberalism going on, and SOME of them are starting to see the light, and past all the regressive liberal hate going on right now.

Like this guy!

Just on this page alone I've seen it been said that "terrorism" is hard to define. Check the link at my post at the very top. That should clear it up.

Edit - I know you "get it". It's for those who are seemingly so confused about it..

If people with whom I share ideological beliefs with are committing acts of violence, then obviously I share the blame and the guilt.

I'm sorry.
most ignorant response i have ever read on ats, so on the macro level you are a U.S. citizen right. Then your theory would suggest you too are apart of the problem right? Again sheer utter ignorance. OP YOUR RANT and arguement falls on deaf ears as a hat, a shirt is the basis for your post. (laughing) 3:50 right?

I do denounce BLM.
But I have never heard of a conservative denouncing Westboro Baptist Church. And they refuse to call people like Robert Dear a Christian terrorist.

You would be surprised at how many people denounce acts of violence from both sides. It's the media that is playing us for fools.

Really?

Then allow me to be the first. I'm not... But here you go.

I denounce them and all their works. They are evil, so too, are their actions.

There ya go.

You haven't heard of a conservative denouncing Robert Deer??? That IS horrifying! Westboro Babtist Church, while disgusting, they just talk crap, they haven't done violence or illegal things. But I am here to say, I think they are disgusting. I might have to dig up those old threads about Robert Deer pertaining to ATS thoughts on it, but I seem to remember pretty much everyone denouncing it! The Robert Deer thing happened like 5 miles away from me and I denounced the # out of it!

Well here's a right leaning person who denounces it AGAIN. I Hereby, DENOUNCE Westboro Babtist Church and Robert Deer!!

So now you can say you know a right-leaning person who denounces them.

In my time here on ATS, I've discovered one glaring thing.

We're all more alike than we are different. Which is why many disagreements get so vicious--we can see, if only subconsciously, ourselves in our opposition.

I've lost count of the number of times I've had blood on the floor style arguments with folks, some of whom are in this very thread, and come back and agree with them whole-heartedly in another.

I've long since got over the surprise of it.

I said it is hard to define, and it is.
Your link defining terrorism does not clear it up.
I'm not confused.
