Well, I wouldn't go to that extreme in saying that all are evil, just the ones that try to control you in some form. The religious and the ones that base things on christian based concepts are clearly hypocrites.

Had a boyfriend who did this to me in high school.

In the end, I had to realize that he liked manipulating me and keeping me around so he could basically abuse me psychologically. You should know something is wrong when he proudly announces to the world that he on purposes chooses music that you think is bad because that means it's good music. Those were the types of mind games he would play. I could call to ask him a favor and by the time I hung up, I'd be in tears feeling like I had done something horribly wrong and imposed on him for simply asking a favor.

Anyhow, when college came around, he said we needed to break up and spend time apart. He didn't seem at all fussed with this until it came out that I was dating someone else. I took him seriously and he never expected I would. Then all of a sudden, he was in my dorm room threatening suicide if I didn't take him back.

Yeah, it was over. Done. Not going to do it.

And if she was anything like what I just described, you're better off without her.

About a year ago, I was faced with a similar decision with regards to a similar situation- I decided to go with it and not run away (again). Time will tell, but at this point in my life I feel that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made (or was it just dumb luck?). I have not been this happy since I was a little kid on Christmas morning opening a box of Space Legos.

I say, give it a shot, let her back into your life- what's the worst that can happen? Well, I mean, as long as her name isn't Lorena Bobbitt
