On February 15 2017, Ashton Kutcher (yes the actor) took 15:38 seconds to speak to the " Senate Foreign Relations Committee."

His discussion revolved around technology that a company he is cofounder of, "Thorn" has developed. This technology is designed to increase the speed of being able to track down human traffickers on the internet in a much more timely fashion. Needless to say, this is something he appears to be VERY passionate about.

I have mentioned before out of all the things that have been going on, the thing that has really disturbed me the most is how all this topic of Pedophilia has been so in our news here at ATS with all the leaks etc., but not really the MSM. Yes it does get touched on occasionally, but in all reality it barely scratches the surface.

With the mindset as it seems to be these days, maybe it will take a popular actor to actually bring this atrocity closer to the surface where people wake up and actually pay attention. This is something I would get off my butt and march about. I cant even think of a word that would describe just how important it should be to flat out tackle this awful situation and weed these animals out.

I highly recommend watching his speech. He is very well spoken, clear and precise. Yes, there are a couple of minutes where he does go into why his tech. should be funded, but that rest is purely from the heart and quite frankly, heartbreaking.

Kutcher is a pretty smart investor , good to see him giving something back . But . He is an actor and he is pitching something , but there is no doubt his heart is in it . Question , why were most of the senators chairs empty .

You know I actually wondered that myself about the empty chairs. Yes he is "pitching" something, but what a great thing it is. To speed something up from 3 years to 3 weeks is pretty incredible. Even if it could only bring it down to 6 months or a year, still a massive step in the right direction I think

@greydaze: I concur we should all be behind it. It is really time to take our heads out of the sand and get with the program. If it takes a actor to get the ball finally rolling, I'm all for it.

My guess is... Kutcher has been on the wrong side of sexual slavery once or twice in Hollywood, as an up an coming actor of course.

I have no proof, just conjecture. But usually, public moves like this from Hollywood actors end up having their careers ruined by the studio execs that pull the strings (and the children).

Interesting topic, though. I'm curious to see what other discussion comes of this both here and elsewhere.

Great addition to the forums... thanks! S+F x 10 if I could...

Quite eye opening... kind of made me realize how unaware of these horrors I may be. I will certainly have my mind brewing from this... I thank you again for sharing this!

Call me skeptical of his intentions.

An insider, from the 'capital' of pedophilia, looking to make money off of it.

Now if he was actually cleaning his own 'neighborhood', and exposing the crimes he is well aware happen there, I may be less skeptical.

Ive never seen this side of Aston Kutcher, its also very refreshing to see a member of Hollywood actively trying to hit the big issues that plague the world.

I don't have much to say on the matter, I just wish him and the company the best of luck.

Hmmm well, who's to say that might not actually be his end game. As Cold Wisdom mentioned, he may have expierenced this first hand way back when. Might be Exactly what is driving him.

ETA: I don't think he is looking to make money off it, just the funding too get it up to speed where it needs to be. He did mention the smarter the program got it would probably end up becoming cheaper over the years. Frankly that is quite a switch for Washington.

I actually just thought about your comment a little longer and wanted to add this thought. So what if he was trying to make money. Shouldn't the program stand on its own merit and what it can accomplish? So what if he is a little richer if it means catching 1000's of these monsters and freeing children to have the life they deserve without fear of being preyed upon and tortured. Even a mere handful or just one is worth it too me if they could be saved quicker and with less suffering.

Yeah well let's hope it isn't designed and can be used in the opposite manner. I have noticed that many foundations designed to help the children are often a front for trafficking. Hidden in plain sight.

Not speaking specifically to the tech, but I am so pleased to see the child-trafficking issue taking on more and more momentum.

My hope is that President Trump will announce a full-scale national offensive against pedophilia and child exploitation.

Very good point, just look at the recent Ohio adoption agency arrests.

Look, I would love nothing more then for this story to be legit and Ashton really is using his $$ and fame to do something good for the plight of these poor children..

With the Hollywood agenda, and history, just call me cynical.

Not a fan of Kutcher, but I can get behind his cause for human trafficking.

Good job Kutcher

I decided to go take a look at the Thorn Website and I'm glad I did. There is a lot of information there. For those of you that don't think this is so legit, the site might help you get a clearer picture of what it is they do. They also seem to be hiring computer savvy people too, so bonus there.

They had a map up which showed just how much they have accomplished so far nd it appears California has been hit the hardest. I have no idea if the people they have caught are any of the Hollywood creeps, but perhaps a few have been snared in the process and maybe they will sing. Least one can hope.

I took a screen cap of the map:

Again, for anyone interested in learning more about Thorn and what they are doing or just to check how legit they may be,
HERE IS THE LINK TO THORN and also where I got the map picture from

I think everyone can agree that we want to put an end to the scourge of internet child porn as well as sex slavery, human trafficing, sex tourism and all of the like.

However, what he is selling to these senators is a product from a private company that he is heavily invested into. This product will take all anonymity out of the internet and leave even normal folks and business owners open to political manipulation. This is little more than a proposed expansion of the NSA's ability to gather even more private info from private computers.

If you think they don't already know who the pedofiles are, you are not paying attention to the cases that have been in the news lately. They watch these groups for years before moving in for the arrests. The fbi is running child porn sites as honey pots. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Ashton Kutcher is a commercial in himself. How many products has he been paid to sell? The fact is, his face sells products. That is all he does. As another poster mentioned earlier, if he is so interested in saving kids, why doesn't he out all of the pedophiles in Hollywood?

His, performance in front of these senators was not that good either, he is stiff in the shoulders, and the fake emotion is palpable.

Here is a clip of a body language specialist reviewing his sales presentation. youtu.be...

Kutcher isn't your typical Hollywood liberal.

“I also think that there’s an entitlement that is starting to emerge, that I think is unhealthy for people and unhealthy for the country,” he said.

“It was funny,” Kutcher continued, “I talk to some of my friends and, they don’t want to get a job at Starbucks. Or they don’t want to get a job at wherever because they feel like it’s below them. And I think the only thing that can be below you is to not have a job.”

Time to get with the program my brothers and sisters......

Body language expert has an opinion.....

Now back to the subject of this reality and whatcha gonna do.....do not just sit and talk...many pay honor with their lips but....

Your voice in this reality is for redeeming the day, let that soak......do not mention he wants money coz he's heavily invested......refuse to be a victim of complacent verbiage and the sex bastards we see in this world.

That is more than 20 very large tech companies who are already behind this. While i'm fine with this being used to fight the worst crimes imaginable, how could this tech be corrupted to be used against their political and business adversaries?

I noticed one company 'Palantir' on the list. George Webb in his video's mentioned it as possibly being involved with trafficking. If true, just shows how big money plays both ends. Nothing against Kutcher. Goggle and twitter are there as well.
