Medium rare. I like to get a nice crust on the outside as well so it typically ends up slightly more cooked than rare.

Hot dogs burned black on the bbq, lol. (also got that charred taste)

Hubby is a steak aficionado who likes 'em practically raw.
I'm not much of a meat eater these days.
(hot dogs aren't really meat, lol)

Agreed. When I did eat steak it was always medium rare.

When we were in Italy last we hit up this restaurant in Florence called Perseus. You can only get your steak one way. Rare.

If you ask for anything else the waiter uses the one word which means the same thing in most languages, 'NO!'.

I do that when people come over for dinner.

"How do you want your steak, medium rare?"

"Medium well."

"Medium rare?"

"No, medium well."

"Medium rare?"

"Okay, I guess medium rare."

I prefer mine bleeding, raw and still attached to the cow...

Not really, but it's Friday end of the day and I'm feeling playful.

Steak seems to be one of the only foods where it seems to be "acceptable" to have a go at a person who prefers it cooked differently??

I KNOW about cooking.
I KNOW about steak.
I KNOW that it's generally juicier and more succulent etc etc when rare/med rare but guess what..?
I have tried it many different ways, and I PERSONALLY PREFER IT WELL DONE because IMHO it has more flavour that way.

So kill me.

Anyway, I'm off to mysterious Island for the weekend... there's another HUGE big rugby match in the 6 Nations tomorrow (England v Scotland) and I will definitely be in the pub for that one! (Wish us luck?)
Also looking forward to Wales v Ireland tonight... C'Mon the Celts! LOL

I'll try and look in here if I can get a phone signal strong enough!

Got up at 8am..
Dogs have been out. LittleBurgh has been let out also, and given proper amounts of Coffee.

My issue.... the Morning Doves🤗
Yesterday was dry, warm and I consumed my AM Caffeine without issue. In shorts and a T-shirt.

This Morning, Is covered in snow. 2 Morning Doves are having a conversation. WHERE ARE THEY??.. 😅😅😅



I hear them 2. But I can't find them.


This is not a joke... birds are going at it!
