Well me personally wouldn't want them displayed because I would be the one who

would have to dust them.

LOL! Maybe not. Men and their guitars...they take care of them like they are their babies. My Hubby polishes or waxes or whatever they do to keep the guitars looking nice.

I have a question..
Do you hang all your guitars, or do you keep them in their cases.
I ask because I was taught that hanging them is not good for the neck.
I have really never questioned it, so I don't know the facts. (Yea I could look it up, but I am lazy)

A very good question.
I currently have 5 guitars.
The one that I regularly practice with hangs on the wall for easy access, one sits on a floor stand, and three are kept in their cases all the time unless I'm playing or carrying out maintenance on them.

My gut feeling is that putting the whole weight of the guitar on the headstock at the end of the neck for long periods isn't a great idea.
But, in saying that... if it's a good quality, well-built guitar... and it is used regularly between being hung up overnight or even for a day or two... I don't think it's a huge problem.

I tend to change which guitar I keep handy quite often, so none of them remains "on the hanger" for too long!

Gx

You should polish them, at least the neck so they don't dry out

OH, LOL!

Here is Mark's new toy. The paint changes color, has all kinds of bells and whistles. He paid about 2,1oo with a trade in guitar and it goes for about 2,600. YIKES! It's an electric but can change over with a switch to acoustic.

I just got back from a showing. My mom's ex (he was my step dad when I was a kid) passed away.

How is the weekend going for all of you?

We've got a crappy on hanging on the wall,(that I wipe down) that he will play around with once in a while.

Otherwise same here. One on a stand when in use and the rest in their cases.

When you make taco's, do you grind your meat?

I don't know how close she was to him. I hadn't seen him in years. At least since 2011. I kept meaning to but something kept coming up. My nephew is taking it hard. I'm trying to wrangle the dork into a game to take his mind off things.

I miss you all too. It's good to see a lot of the old faces in here again.

When I lived down in Illinios, it seemed like I was going to a couple funerals a month.

Got kinda depressing. But like you said, you end up seeing folks you haven't seen.

Anybody watching the Oscars tonite?

Hi Skiddy and Kat!

I'm making tacos next week. I just cook the hamburger and chop it up as it cooks and add the seasoning and water. I use the edge of a metal spatula and chop, chop, chop. We add chopped up lettuce, tomato and shredded Mexican cheese. I like a dollup of sour cream and maybe mild hot sauce.

Nope, not watching the Oscars. Let me know if I win. LOL

I thought I saw you standing over in the red carpet line. lol

I usually get my meat at different store than I buy my groceries, but friday we had a bad storm coming in and the town was closing down.

So I decided to just grab a pound of beef at this other store. It was in a plastic roll.

When I went to cook it, it was so compacted, I ended up with big clumps of meat. (I may have cooked it too fast) but anyway what I did was take it out of the pan and put it in the fridge to cool, then I ran it thru the food processor.

I ended up with tiny little pieces. I actually like it.

It's kinda like the meat you get when you buy Taco Bell.

It still tastes good, just a different texture.

I cook mine in a pan covered for a while so it cooks faster, but comes out tender.

My pre-red carpet pic. I was running off looking for a dragon ride to get there. The dragon turned a lot of heads, but the press was told not to use the dragon pics because it would look like fake news.
