It's more fun for the reader if there is the chance that their favorite character might end up on the business end of a torpae.

That's not foreshadowing, BTW.

Or maybe it is...

Muwhahaha!

Greetings to Prairie, Gordie, and Night.

Nice to see you here this afternoon.

Night - As I can no longer jump start my brain with caffeine I am having trouble coming up with a nickname. I'm open for suggesting. PM me if needed.

Oh,

Hey Gordi! *hugs*
Glad to see you made it back in one piece.
(YOUR mother was a hamster!!)

Blue Dude...you're doing laundry and so is Night Star. Do YOU jump when the dryer buzzer goes off too? (she's going to slap me)

Fair enough. I can't really do "jerk" anyway. It's sort of like a duck trying to tap-dance. It really just ends up loud, wet, and flappy.

Just popping in.
Hi everyone! Old friends and new.

After a super hard, sad weekend, I would like to remind everyone:

You can't pick your family! You do not however, have to put up with them.
Appreciate and love the important people you care about.
They may not be blood, but they can still be family.

Sitting out enjoying a nice day trackside. These 70 degree days sure do beat sitting out here during the winter months. Everything has a nice shade of green to it now.

Been jamming to some music as well to make the boredom go away.

Jacy, I'm waiting to jump at the dryer buzzer, probably any minute now. I was putting away winter coats, jackets and boots and bringing forward my Spring Summer clothes and shoes in the closet.

Chooch, I love journey!!!!

Sorry if I miss replying to everyone in here. I am multi tasking and going crazy. LOL

Blue Dude, my laundry is done and buzzer went off. Now I have to fold and hang things, go take a nice bath and wash my hair. Might take a dragon ride later too.

Big "HUGS" to all of you, and thank you. Thank you for creating a small place in this world, where there really is kindness.

Long story short, since I don't want to tear up again.
My last grandmother past away last month, and Saturday we had her memorial luncheon. Which meant I had to deal with a side of the family, that are the very definition of narcissistic vultures. (Honest to god, so bad, that my grandmother actually wrote one son OUT of the will!)

My mom went, for support, and she did say she has never been more proud of me. I was good and kept my mouth shut, no matter what was said to me.
Did get a laugh out of my sister though. She has a worse temper than me. She quietly told my fathers widow where she could go, after a particularly nasty insult directed at us girls.

People are just nuts.

Glad everything went well with your dealing with the other family. My wife had plenty of family just like them. They acted like vulture when her mom's husband died and took everything worthwhile in her house.

Aww, I'm glad you stuck around to post more.

I have a friend here in town who has had horrific health problems. I started looking after her at Christmas, and continue to visit almost every day, drive her to dr. appts, etc.
About 2 weeks ago her mother passed away, suddenly. My friend is devastated, her mom was her biggest support...and her family is going through pretty much the same drama that you are right now.

I'm having my own issues with my grown kids, and know a few others who are also having family problems. It's literally heart-breaking to be confronted with relatives who treat you badly, gossip about you, ignore you, etc. etc.

Feel free to share as much (or as little) as you're comfortable with, and know that you are in a safe place here with kind souls who care. This place and the people I've come to love, are my chosen family even though we've never met. I wouldn't be able to get through some things without their support.
