I know you will, Jacy, no worries. Emotionally attached - funny. I think Jess said a very similar sentiment about a couple of my characters, LOL.

Yup, busy house, Shepherditos and cousins all going outside all gladiator-style to find eggs (well, little plastic ones with candy inside); we'll have ham, taters, etc. I believe Grandma is making my favorite coffee cake and bringing breads & treats from Great Harvest. Don't know if you all have Great Harvest around or if that's a Minnesota thing...their breads and pastries are AMAZING.

We have a bakery near to me that is amazing!!!!!!! It's on a farm and fresh milk and eggs right from their farm are used. People always order Birthday and other cakes from there. They have cookies and all kinds of breads like banana nut and spice etc. They have chocolates, milk, eggs, and all kinds of delightful things, even spinach pies and ice cream etc.

Lol *blushes*

Guys, it was just a little brown butterfly.
No big deal! It was trapped so I simply set it free so that it wouldn't starve.

It was a HUGE deal to that butterfly. I set moths free and lady bugs.

I live in Minnesota. Some claim our state bird is the Common Loon. This is patently false.
It is the mosquito. We don't even have leaves on the trees yet, and I already saw a mosquito.

Spiders and bats eat mosquitoes. Therefore, spiders are my friends.

The Shepherditos don't like them, though. They'll come running upstairs yelling "Arachnid control!! Arachnid control!!"

Last fall, they found one in their room that was seriously 2" across. I think if it would have been in my hand its legs would nearly have spanned my whole palm. Not sure if it was a wolf spider or a dark fishing spider, but it was BIG.

Now, let me clarify - I don't want them as pets, and I don't like having them in the house. But they do eat other insectoid pests, of which we have a ton in the Land of Lakes. SO I evict them from my house, but I don't condemn them to death.

Yeah, I don't understand why people kill spiders. They are actually pretty useful, and alot of those are pretty beautiful, too.

Where I live (Quebec) we have these little beauties:

Have to say a hello and good night to everyone I've not replied to tonight. It's gone 11pm here & I'm just tired. I'll try to get in again within about 12 hours or so.

Wishing you all a great rest of the day, and if I don't catch you tomorrow, a happy Easter to those who celebrate it.

Nice. What kind is it?

I remember when I lived in Rhode Island as a kid people would get these big bright yellow spiders for their gardens. They make these huge, classic webs and they catch the Japanese beetles that eat the leaves of the plants in the garden. We don't have them in MN probably because it usually freezes hard here down to about 42", so there's nowhere for them to hibernate.

I have a family of daddy long-legs spiders living around my house.

They eat the mosquitoes AND they deter redback infestations. AND they don't nibble on me or my son.
So they shall live long and prosper in the corners of every room.

Except the bathroom.
They like to congregate over my shower and the humidity makes them try to fall on me. No! I will not allow this violation of our agreement! **shakes fist*
