Tell that to China when we are there pressing about their Island in the South China Sea.

Why? Am I an officer of the international courts? Nope.

I like to leave regional issues to the regions that it pertains too, and it appears that most in the region are aware and doing what they can against it.

Every story you post about the Russian ship mentions the Russian flyover of our destroyer.
In the Black Sea!!! On Russia's back doorstep.
Our ships are over there and Russia's 1 ship is sitting here. Big deal.
Do you really believe that we are not watching and listening to that ship with what probably amounts to a medium sized strike force?
Our military is the best in the world and for you to describe 1 Russian intelligence gathering ship as if it is going to send a raft ashore and capture the entire #ing country, is preposterous.
The territorial waters limit as adhered to by most countries, is 12 miles from shore. So 30 miles is nothing to get excited about and to scream that Trump is compromised because of it is ridiculous.

I have a feeling if Trump did in fact lift a finger the moment the ship was seen, you guys would still criticize him, calling him a fearmongerer or something for calling out a ship on international open waters when nothing had happened yet.

It's a lose lose for Trump when it comes to you guys.

There were plenty of foreign powers with ships off our coasts during Obama's and other presidents terms.....This happens all the time as anything more than 12 nautical miles off the coast is technically in international waters.

Being this is a Russian ship it is probably just broke down and waiting for its assigned tug to ferry it away....Those Russians and their super advanced tug boat engines!!

i think the US should direct every drunken party boat on the eastern seaboard to flank that ship until they defect to our side

Well.......my theory: Russia just wants timely intel on the coupe against Trump when it goes down....keeps the boys at Langley on their toes knowing the Russians are watching too.

Interesting take on it.
Yeah they know that Trump is up against some crazy and dangerous people and I would bet that they would offer assistance to help put the coup down, if it should occur.
Not that we would need any help but I have a feeling they they would have the American peoples back against any radical domestic terrorists that would try to oust Trump.

you need to get your priorities in order, 1 Russian ship isn`t much of a threat.

I've got to agree with you there. After several deployments in the late great 80's, being buzzed by Bears, KH27s, followed by trawlers and such...it's a single ship, just making it's presence known.

Maybe this is a divide and conquer tactic by Russians. They want Trump to appear as a Russia stooge to cause chaos in America. Maybe?

This Russian spy ship appeared on Feb 10th and it is still off the coast of Grotton, Connecticut where we have a Naval Submarine Base. The below link ties to a Fox News video so you right wingers can digest this. Even they are saying that we are being testing by Russia. Yet, Trump just sits there and does ZERO to tell Russia to back the F up! Instead, he dodges Russian questions during his press conference today and plans on having a "rally" this weekend in Florida!

Some of you right wingers have said that it's normal for foreign ships to be close to our coasts. Yes, that is true, but it is done a few hundred miles out instead of this ship that sits 30 miles out ridding the border of international waters.

Trump is compromised at a minimum. This is ridiculous as Trump is sitting there spewing garbage while Putin trolls us directly off our coast.

www.yahoo.com...

My honest theory about that boat:

It's all a part of Trump's grand escape plan. He's going to fake his own death, hop on the boat in the middle of the night, disappear, and then start presidenting via satellite from Moscow.

He'll believe his own faked death so much that he'll start every address with "BoooOooOoOOOOooooo" and he'll think America believes him too when they boo him back.

Why would you think that. Russia is our friend now. They don't need to spy. We'll give them anything they want.

If the ship was there under Obama's watch, would you still consider it not an issue?

I could care less which President is in office for it. International waters aren't US territory, so whomever is in charge of the US would be rather moot.

wow talk about apples and oranges. one Russian ship hanging around in international waters is nowhere near the same thing as the Chinese taking over islands far from their territorial waters and territories, in waters which other country's claim from being near to their territories and territorial waters.

i seem to recall quite a few incidents the last few years from all over the world of Russian aircraft getting "too close" while in international airspace as well as Russian ships or subs "being too close" while in international water. or Russian aircraft going into a country's airspace. or Russian aircraft getting too close to American or friendly country's ships and aircraft in international airspace/water. it seems it was the same people freaking out about it, as are freaking out about this, especially western mainstream media. yet they were not freaking out about Obama and other "friendly" world leaders not doing anything about it. but instead were just freaking out about the Russians being "too close". yet now Trump is in office and it's all about "trump is not doing anything about it, he must be working with them". and the same people who were saying "it is nothing they were in international water/airspace", or "it's a game everyone plays", are the same one's saying it today. and yet the US and other countries all do the exact same things to the Russians. it is a game everyone seems to partake in, yet it's always the "evil Russians" when they do it. and now because they hate Trump, it has become a part of their "Trump is working for the Russians" smear campaign.

if Trump was in fact working for or with the Russians, why would the ship even be there? in fact if it did show up and Trump was working for or with them chances are Trump would have just said something. and that ship would have sailed off with it's tail between it's legs. to show how powerful and authoritative Trump is against the Russians, and how they cow down to his authority and might.

seriously i have no doubt there are people working for or with the Russians right now. like at least one socialist group with Russian ties ( go figure) that has been heavily involved in the anti Trump stuff all throughout the election.

BS! I live right between Mayport Naval Station and Kings Bay Sub Base. There is a master jet base in Jax. (mainside) as well. I can see KB across the water from the North side of the island. Russian nuclear subs cruise right outside the the 12 mile limit (as the have since the 60's),so they can launch missiles on those targets.

The only difference here is the leftist's panic and Trump in office.

Some of the Russian Tugs also have an intelligence collection capability. Two of the tugs that supported SSV-175 Viktor Leonov on her previous missions off the US have been noted as close as 30 nautical miles off Florida and Louisiana. There is nothing unusual about intelligence collection vessels sitting off on the periphery of the US 12 nautical mile limit.

The Russian Navy Tug Nikolay Chiker has an intelligence collection capability as do many of the larger tugs. The likes of the Nikolay Chiker is fitted with underwater cameras, specialized gear, and a moon pool allowing un-monitored underwater operations

The Russian Navy still uses quite a lot of Morse Code and one of the routine messages is reporting of weather back to head quarters in Moscow. One of my hobbies is intercepting the Russian Navy Morse comms.

This weather contains the latitude and longitude of the weather observation and what the vessel is doing.

Nikolay Chiker (Call sign RAL48) sent the following Morse Code message on 14th March 2014 to Moscow HQ.

VVV RIW DE RAL48 QSA ? QTC K

The weather is sent in international weather. See following for info on the code used.

The latitude and longitude is in the second and third groups of the message.

I recorded this Morse Message.

Morse Code from Nikolay Chiker March 2014

During 2012 the Russian Navy SB-406 was approximately 30 nautical miles off Florida and also approximately 40 miles off Lousiana.

Russian Navy Tug SB-406 (Call sign RJQ84) was picked up by a radio enthusiast.

During 2012 one of the intelligence collection vessels off the US was given safe harbor in Jacksonville, Florida to avoid the superstorm.

Meanwhile, the officials also said that a Russian electronic intelligence-gathering vessel was granted safe harbor in the commercial port of Jacksonville, Fla., within listening range of Kings Bay. The Russian AGI ship, or Auxiliary-General Intelligence, was allowed to stay in the port to avoid the superstorm that battered the U.S. East Coast last week. A Jacksonville Port Authority spokeswoman had no immediate comment on the Russian AGI at the port.

News Link

There really is nothing remarkable about intelligence collection vessels sniffing around this close to the US. As long as the vessels don't encroach on the 12 nautical mile limit then there is nothing really that the US can do about it. It is freedom of passage and the right to roam international waters.

SSV-175 Viktor Leonov also sends Morse although she doesn't send weather. Mainly she uses the Morse to set up secure comms links. I last noted her active on the 24th January. Call sign RMMA.

Just more trolling news. Russia always has ships in International Waters. Yes, even during Lord Obama's reign. For other examples of trolling news also see the WSJ article about information being withheld from the President. Which is also confirmed by multiple sources to be completely normal and also occurred during his Lordship Obama's reign.
