They do not have anyone from Russia who were caught and confessed. They believe Russia did it because Russia is the big bad boogeyman and who else can it be other than Russia. They go to great lengths explaining Russia's motive, like Putin's personal vendetta against Hillary for orchestrating color revolution following the 2012 Russia election.

Personally, I don't think Russia hacked DNC. It's not their style. They have high moral standards. They never interfered in another country's domestic affairs.

Excuse me- who was it who invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968?
Your defence will be more convincing if you stick to what is plausible.

Georgia attacked South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Russia was invited by these two states to defend them from Georgian invasion.

Same country, different set of rulers.
Russia has been intervening in the political affairs of western countries since they joined the alliance against Frederick the Great.

Not the same country. USSR was dominated by Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, particularly Ukraine.

And yet, I've heard multiple times, on multiple networks (including NPR), that Russia did tamper with the election as if this is a proven fact.

F*** THE MEDIA

Cold borscht and stale pierogi, probably. At least it explains why all so called conservatives are so interminably cranky.

This is sarcasm, right?
Your sarcasm sticker must have fallen off.
It HAS to be sarcasm...
Other countries have already said that they have caught Russia attempting to manipulate their politics.
It's what they do.
Russia already admitted, in many ways.
Your post must be sarc! *__-

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Thursday released a joint report detailing how federal investigators linked the Russian government to hacks of Democratic Party organizations. The document makes clear reference to the hacks of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, though it does not mention either by name. The 13-page report provides technical details regarding tools and infrastructure used by Russian civilian and military intelligence services to “compromise and exploit networks and endpoints associated with the U.S. election, as well as a range of U.S. Government, political, and private sector entities.”

The Hill, 12/29/2016

Some have argued that the IC made the wrong call, but they definitely DID state clearly that Russia, through various agents, interfered in the last US Election.

seriously... you have got to stop yourselves. Are you all really that blindly naive and over the top patriotic that you will believe what your own intelligence agencies will tell you??

Stupid stupid stupid.

Who should we listen to? Mr. Trump? Mr. Putin? God perhaps?

I am fully in favor of vetting anything ANYONE tells me as much as I am able but dismissing what the IC tells us becasue it doesn't favor your political beliefs is ... well, rather blind.

My political beliefs? I believe that the US had a lose lose election after Sanders was run over.... We were never supposed to have a democracy, you were supposed to have something that appears to be democracy, just as the intelligence community servers mainly to distract your and mislead you to believe that you have an enemy on the other side of Earth.

It's called control, and most people love it, because it makes them feel safe.

Coming to terms with not being able to

A. Trust a single of your politicians, except a few who will never be allowed to hold any power
B. Trust your letter agencies, because they work in part for the former and in part for someone with deep pockets.

Leads to uncertainty and confusion. It's like waking up one day and realising that none of your parents are your parents, they are just two people who kidnapped you and are trying to make you believe you can trust them.

American is probably the worst of them all at this point. A huge gullible population, who is still stuck in "I gotta make it!!" mode, will be easy to rally against an enemy if you just tell them that enemy is trying to take something from them.

Even a hamster in its cage loves its treadmill... it has become so used to it, that it can't see past the fact that the treadmill is NOT entertainment or a gift from its keeper...... so it happily treads it, day in and day out.

Not saying that Putins russia is any better, it probably isn't. But we have to get past this BS: "We are the good guys!!" because we aren't.... we are just content prisoners letting elitist rich people and politicians # our lives over, for a snack from their table.

So yeah.... my beliefs. Nothing in this world of politics fits my beliefs at this point. It's a messed up world.

But I honestly don't believe the russians hacked the DNC, regardless of the what the FBI, CIA or NSA says.

Quick flash back: even the NSA didn't rate the report high enough because the quality of data and intel was too weak.

That's just it. I don't "trust" anyone. I don't even "trust" my own perceptions until I've vetted through as many sources as I can.

And even then, I don't think I've found "the truth" ... merely the closet approximation that I can manage.

This methodology branches out from my personal explorations into metaphysics and epistemology.

I despise control by others and want no control over others for myself. That desire, in my mind, is psychopathic.

The ultimate result of your solution, as I see it, is that you cannot know anything. If you truly don't trust politicians, anyone in government, any authority figure, no matter if you can verify their statements or not ... then you are left merely with a void, and that's not a solution for me.

On the contrary, the NSA, FBI and CIA all signed onto the report on "Russian hacking." Have you read it?

Have you read The Carolina Conspiracy? It's a wild theory. The author, Louise Mensch is well respected by her peers, see todays Guardian article.

Further, she hasn't been wrong yet...
