In Watergate, Nixon used his presidential powers to direct CIA to target his political opposition the Democrats. That is against democracy. That was illegal.

Even if Trump / Pence GOP team colluded with Russia to hack DNC and release dirt to the public, that is not illegal. That is informing voters before voting day. THEY did not do the hack, so they did not commit any crime under US law.

But Dan Rather say's it could be just as bad.
Old man Rather NEVER makes things up.

Also there were many leaks on the GOP side too. The women tape. The 1995 tax returns. Leaks are legal in campaigns, because they inform voters before voting day.

Seems to me that if there's any Watergate type thing going on here, it's that the former potus set up the various agencies to target the current potus.

I wished it is more like Stargate so I could go live somewhere with out all the contrived left/right political nonsense.

It's hard to declare how this situation is or isn't like Watergate when Trump's administration has just begun and Nixon had already served one whole Presidential term before he was impeached. However the amount of controversies surrounding this administration since it began is REALLY alarming.

Nixon broke the law. Trump did not.

If that can be proven, like a WH staffer who gets caught and confesses.

Nixon broke the law. Trump did not.

First off, you don't know that for sure or not. Second off, I think you failed to get my point. Nixon was a President for 6 years before being impeached. Trump is just getting started. He has plenty of time to break the law and be impeached.

The one who hacks is the one who breaks the law. If Russia did that. Then Russia broke the law and the US has every right to arrest Vladimir Putin.

It's not about amount of time. It's about actions.

Its just ridiculous how the obstructionist from the Democratic leaders are doing anything in their books to undermine the Trump administration in any way possible, from delaying appointees to making a mockery of congress and themselves.

This sounds like somebody is very spiteful giving temper tantrums and using a lot of funds to push this rather nothing but propaganda crap.

This have Hillary and her closes supporters behind it.

And to think that she could have been the president of our nation right now.

She is the unstable one, the crazy one and no she is not gone is very much active in her #.

The entire Democratic party of what is left of it is not longer trying to help the American people or trying to get a hold of those that help defeat them but are bound to destroy whatever they ever accomplished when they were a party for the people.

Now they only have a hold of anarchist and dissenters supporting them and their dirty deeds.

There is more going on at this point than the DNC hack from last year. You know that right? What do you think about Trump failing to act for three weeks on the intelligence that Flynn was compromised by the Russians?

I'm just saying there that if hasn't done anything wrong yet, he has plenty of time and rope to hang himself with. You seem to have interpreted that differently.

Flynn might have broken the Logan Act. Trump did not. Flynn was under investigation. IMO a suspension would have been enough. He chose to resign.

Trump is a snake. He has been a business mogul for many decades. He knows the law very well. Don't expect him to hang himself with a rope.

In Trumpgate.

The expresident, his party got the CIA/NSA to target their political opposition.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ?

Yes, but there might be a coverup at work here since Trump didn't seem like he was going to act on that information until after the leaks came out. And it also opens up new questions on where the loyalties to the rest of his cabinet up to and including him lay. He already had Paul Manafort on his election campaign get discovered. Now we have the Flynn debacle. It really doesn't inspire a lot of trust that Trump is picking the best people or that he isn't compromised by the Russians.

He did not possess DNC's email. Wikileaks had those.
