A Poem to All of Them

"Roses are red
Violets are blue
ain't no more
of you!"

Now I want a panda steak! *__-

I am just a Kakapo living in a Kakapo world. Last chance to see.
That's amazing. I saw a Kakapo once.
Quickly now start breeding them!
I don't want that funny bird to go extinct.

The Passenger Pigeon.

Martha, alone in a Cincinnati zoo,
Unbelievable what they did to you.

The Natives they caught you,
For food to fight hunger.
And when you would swarm
Like a never-ending black cloud with
Wings that made thunder.

But the invaders came,
And your kind became just a pest,
With hatchets and bullets and dynamite
Whatever "sport" killed you best.

In 1914, no more mate for a nest,
Alone in a cage,
No head rests on your chest.

And that was goodbye,
That was the end.
You can't flock alone
My feathery friend.

Who am I?

I am not yet extinct
but I will be soon
You will no longer enjoy fresh flowers in June

The crops will no more
be harvested in Fall
Monsanto has destroyed them all

By wiping me out at an alarming rate
you sabotage self
and all you once ate

The honey I made
to sweeten your tea
will disappear along with me

Though not very big
an impact I will make
Please save me now- for the whole world's sake!
