The public debt is money into the pockets of the elite, the super rich. That's why the US public debt is up to 20 trillion. That's 20 trillion into the pockets of the elite, the super rich.

Public schools are in dire shape. If I had the money, heck I would go to a private school. Private schools compete with each other. Public schools don't. Private schools have small classes and evaluations of teachers. Public schools don't.

Democrats prefer public schools because they dumb down the people, making the people easy to manipulate.

I can tell by your exceptional logic that you haven't been manipulated. I don't think there's much danger of you getting rich.

Obamacare would cost nothing if a fraction of the people claiming to be interested signed up at the same time.

So what, 12% of people have Obamacare, this means the subsidy is divided by 1.2/10 Americans.

It's expensive specifically because no one has it. It's extra expensive, because people didn't sign up for it, short of immediately needing insurance in emergency. Zero forethought, zero reward.

Millions of people have it and don;t want to lose it.

"Obamacare" consists of 2 programs.

1. FREE ObamaCare = MEDICAID. (11 million people)

2. Individually purchased insurance = (9 million people. Most had insurance before Obamacare.)

Most everyone in category #2 is very unhappy with their Obamacare coverage. Very expensive. High Deductible. Most doctors don't accept it.

Category #1 satisfaction is much higher, because if you earn $16,000 or less per year, you're eligible. People in this income range had no health insurance before ObamaCare, because they couldn't afford it.

Pls. Free Market 101 "Competition" totally applies to industries without a product. Just look at how organized insurance is.

Nobody has it because nobody can afford it lol. Even if 70 percent of the working usa population had it the unworking 30 percent would be dragging it down. now -10 percent for the wealthy who do not need obamacare. 60 - 30 Then add the elderly on social security disability and other disabled people lets say 60 - 45. Yes in a perfect world it would be 100 percent people paying for themselfs the cost would be low. But when you have to pay for yourself, your children, and another person remember 45 percent osnt working or contributing anything thats what you have to fill in for.

It didn't make any sense to you because CNN never informed you that for the 20 million that got on Obamacare, 30 million of us middle class could no longer afford to have health care. Because we were being taxed into poverty to pay for the 20 million.

Reldra... my insurance went from 179 a month with a 1,000 deductible a year to 570 a month with a 6,000 deductible and a 6,000 copay.

I had to drop health care because it was cheaper to just pay out of pocket. I'm not penalized as a Vet, so here I am, not paying in and I guess I'm the bad guy, according to this thread.

I know that you and I are at odds on some topics... but can you see why I'm slightly upset at my new "affordable" health care?

I'd wager that hipsters wear more trucker hats than truckers (or country boys) do these days.
Ask yourself... are hipsters republicans?

When have they ever did anything for the poor and the middle? Even Obamacare is totally controlled by Big Pharma. Sure it gets lots of people insured, but at what cost? National debt doubled under Obama.

Also, some of the biggest Democrats like Warren Buffet, George Soros, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates are some of the richest people ever. Hillary Clinton raised 1 BILLION campaign money in 2016. That's not from the poor. That's not from the middle.

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion but allow a very lively debate within that spectrum. – Noam Chomsky

Our job is to give the people not they want but what we decide they ought to have - Richard Salent, former President of CBS News.

The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. In this way people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed - Adolf Hitler

The essence of all slavery consists in taking the product of another’s labour by force. It is immaterial whether this force be founded on ownership of the slave or ownership of the money he must get to live – Leo Tolstoy.

LOL. Democrats have always fought for the poor, at least since the late 1950s and 60s when Dixiecrats became Republicans.

Your OP is yet another false argument to show that what? The Republicans care for the poor? Hahahaha

Yeah right, like 3 dixiecrats turned republican.

Most of the poor are republican.
Most democrats are well off financially. And they don't give a rats ass about poor people.

The Republikkkans are always the first to want to leave the poor to starve in the streets and who fight against all civil rights!

That is the rub.

"fight for the poor" means "isolate them in ghettos".

While i love the idea of helping out people who need help, i think its been done in a way that drives division.

Gerrymandering is a real issue. On the other side, however, isolating your voting block in small neighborhoods while subsidizing pregnancy and not subsidizing upward mobility seems like a good way to ensure a voting base, too.

Its not compassionate to put people on the dole while limiting their ability to secure their own happiness. Its enslavement.

It wouldn't cost the same if people had it. Kind of a worthless point it's 'too expensive'.

It's too expensive because no one has it.
