Will the left start to give DJ Trump so credit?

As soon as the right gives Obama some credit, or at least apologizes for all the BS they claimed he would do that never happened.

Besides, Trump will be told soon that we can't actually go to the moon and the plans will change.

I give Obama credit .. for record numbers of people without a job. You need to go back to before I was born to match his level of actual unemployment, and I am pushing 40.

Did it seem that the space program was dropped?

Seems like Nasa has a new boss.

Good. Glad to hear it.

Nothing is gained without risk, and every single astronaut that signs up with NASA knows the risks.

Strap 'em in, and light that candle!!

It is very dangerous, and Trump wants a mission by 2020.

How many years has it been since NASA did something relevant?

Any President should be pro-Space Program.

Why has it been since Kennedy?!

Mars Rovers
The Rosetta mission
First hi-res pics of Pluto
And that's just the first three that popped in my head.
Do I need to find more?
Because I can.

Maybe we could strap Pence and him aboard... And fill the booster rockets at only 85%..

Yet another lefty wishing for death on the President.

Did that make you feel like a grown up?

As bad as you make Trump out to be, you continually prove yourselves to be infinitely worse.

Probably not, but different era then. For one you had the space race - who could get up there first and all that. We don't have that now, so the motivations are significantly different.

Unless of course North Korea decides to start landing on the moon. Then you might see funding.

Again true. But for a nation that's "been there done that" I still can't see it getting through the red tape.

Now a manned mission to mars, on the other hand

It is ridiculous that the we cannot send a man to the space station and that we have to pay the Russians millions of dollars for their help.

True, space was just for satellites, I am just surprised at the size of the fire that has been lit under a ton of bureaucrats asses.

Will the left start to give DJ Trump so credit?

So many of my liberal friends think space travel is a useless waste of money (better spent on welfare). It blows my mind.

If left up to liberals we would still be single celled amoeba swimming around in the swamp.

NASA should be building infrastructure for commercial companies to exploit space for man and unman missions.

Exactly!!

NASA needs redirected. They need to stay out of the spaceflight biz, and leave that up to commercial companies.

SpaceX tries things on the go, and gets some bad press in the process, but perseveres and makes great accomplishments.

NASA had to be told by the President to speed things up.

I'm not denying NASA did great things in the past, but they're not what they used to be.

I like to see Musk do a moon shot - even a circumlunar flyby using his Dragon capsule

Maybe do a moon shot next year in honor of Apollo 8 50th anniversary

Falcon 9 Heavy booster to under go first flight test later this year - scheduled (for now) in July - September window

If all goes well bo0ster should be ready for 2018 shot.......

After all Apollo 8 was only 3rd firing of Saturn V - and 2 nd test was partial failure , 2 of the 2nd stage engines cutout
and restart of 3rd stage failed
