China is communist, but unlike Russia, they know that to have a sustainable government you have to have a stable economy, for a stable economy you have to have a middle class with extra money to buy stuff.

nope never been to a communist country, but it is also interesting to note that out of 195 countries in the world there are only five that are communist. two of those are barely surviving.

of all the ones that were under soviet rule not one decide to keep communism.
unless i have miss counted there are 41 countries that use to be communist, that have shed that and now another form of government.

even more interesting if the countries in south america are so great, why the masses of immigrants from them? and don't say there's not, there is plenty of documentation that says they are. one that comes to mind is a thread on here about the dangers of them riding trains through mexico.

another thing look at the countries that have references to communism in their Constitution, the majority of the people that live in those, live in utter squalor, while the fat cats that rule dine on the finest that the world has to offer.

Politically, China is very Communist. Economically, they are Capitalists.

It's all in name. I lived there. I studied the economic reforms from the 70s/80s onwards. Communism doesn't exist if you have capitalism, in this case so called state capitalism. There is still some element of central planning, but that too isn't communism by itself.

Retaining a non democratic form of government isn't communism by the way...

Notice how when the Soviet Union collapsed, not a single country that lived under true Communism decided to keep that ideology. Out of all of the countries in the world now, only a handful have a communist government. And they aren't doing too well.

It is not full blown Communism because they have a class of people who can buy stuff, but if you just look its easy to see that their government ACTS very communist.

The CPC regularly locks up and executes political prisoners, journalists, and anyone else that they deem fit with no due process. They regularly censor websites and news that they don't want their people to hear. They have regular "elections" where the people have no say whatsoever on who runs, or even finding out what their policies are. Since the 89 Tiennemen square massacre, the CPC has commited one atrocity after another on its own people. Many are hidden, but some cases get international attention.

a British newspaper published graphic pictures of a Chinese villager crushed to death beneath the rollers of a giant road-grading machine. The villager had opposed the efforts of a corrupt Chinese government official to steal village land for commercial purposes, and he was silenced — permanently.

On another occasion, it was revealed that the Chinese government was trying to block a United Nations report from being released showing secret ties among China, Iran and North Korea for the smuggling of weapons of mass destruction. U.N. officials, to their credit, leaked their report to the wires.

A police state does not equal communism. Neither do human rights violations. All kinds of nations do that. Assad does that in Syria, and he's not communist. etc.

Please explain how their POLICIES and systems are communist, because THAT is what communism is.

People from the CIA to former presidents to historians, say China is no longer a communist system. They have the name still, that's it.

In the 70's and 80's they adopted free market reforms, which is why China has become an economic power again.

Nothing you have said is "communist," but instead a bad, oppressive government. You give lots of examples of government atrocities, which I'm not debating nor excusing. However, again, those don't make them communist.

The most interesting aspect of the video by far, at about 10 minutes and 50 seconds in, was the interview with J. Michael Waller.

Waller hits the nail right on the head when he says foreign governments like Russia are playing both sides to stir up political extremists to cause as much chaos as possible. Sure sounds a lot like what we are seeing throughout the world doesn't it?
