How do you prefer your lies?

On travel bans and deportations?
Trump deportation plan could be ‘impossible’
Obama Has Deported More People Than Any Other President
Fact check: Trump’s immigration policy vs. Obama's

Do you like your lies with a smile and secrecy or with a transparency and a EO?

The Wall?
FLASHBACK: That Time All Of America’s Top Dems Voted To Fund Bush’s Border Wall Read more: dailycaller.com...

Perhaps it's only because...Trump.
Congressional Democrats lose their minds over Trump’s 'Wall of Hate'

Two wings, same bird.
Two faces, same coin.

Same lies, different politicians.

When it comes to lies I always prefer the truth.

Sadly, you will get no truth from politicians or the American media.

I think it's in there..somewhere. A small snippet of quote here, a real analysis from an accredited person there. You have to really dig unfortunately.

I'd prefer no lies, but that unicorn has flown.

We're past the point of acceptance and expecting and into the realm of defending them. Well, I have participated in a few to my shame.

We are far away from keeping any modicum of trust from government and I'm not sure how we get back to trust and respect of that trust.

So you prefer insanity? Same thing over and over expecting a different result? Gotcha.

I like my lies served on the corpse of the person who told them.

How about you?

Sounds good in theory unless you have ATS access in prison. I'm aware of no laws that allow for that type of treatment based upon lies told. Not that I'm against it....

Lies don't exist anymore.

They've been replaced by "alternative facts".

Please see me 2nd previous post.

The time of just accepting that this is how politicians are needs to end.

Well you did ask.

I believe that politicians who lie to us about the actions they take using our money, who lie to us about their agenda in order to get votes, who go back on their promises to the electorate, who represent the few over the many with regard to corporate interests, and so on and so forth, should be forced to risk their lives to get away with it, not just a slapped wrist, then a continuation of their predatory behaviour in the private sector once removed from office.

I don't disagree. Should I lie to my boss, past or present, I would put myself in dire straits concerning my employment and possibly by career. To let those who are supposed to be a cut from a higher moral cloth to not be held to the same standards is assnine.

Since we can't build gallows, how then would be a way forward?

It works for farm animals.

Well, a damned good start would be to put a blanket ban on prosecuting those who make classified information public, unless they release that information exclusively to foreign governments, rather than to the public first. If, in the case of someone like Snowden, they make their releases a matter of public record, as a defence mechanism to protect the rights of citizens, then no matter how inconvenient for the government of the day, that act must never be seen as criminal.

Also, when such revelations as he made are made again, those responsible for the programs, their existence, everyone from the coding specialists who designed the software, to the politicians who knew about it and allowed it to continue, get arrested for treason against the people, and either summarily executed or put in prison for life.

The reason I say start with this, is because it is very hard to get a politician to tell you they are lying. But it would be a damned sight easier to get their underlings to report them when they do, if they knew they would be supported by the electorate.

I know this sounds cheesy, but personally I do my best to parse through all of the sources and their information and form my own conclusions based on what I believe to be rationale and logical thought...

I think I might speak for quite a few people on this site, actually.
