I stated clearly this wasn't music appreciation.

If you answer my question I will learn what a bump is, so I can answer yours.

Good song. All my black friends are cool with me saying the N word.

It's just a word.

Exactly.

Words don't kill people, people kill people.

According to my OP, after the first 5 seconds of the song if you didn't think you were being addressed you may be racist.

No answer yet.

34, Australia.

You do know that word was just a insult against people who are unkempt, and misbehave and dont respect anyone right? It was co opted by the KKK and the meaning changed to just mean african americans.

And Cracker...lol not really a insult if you knew its original meaning. Those were th e guys who th e master let use a whip on the ones who were not doing their jobs or punishing them for something else.

It can easily be both. It's a poor inconclusive test, and any poor inconclusive test needs poor and inconclusive answers.

And the lyrics refer to the audience as N***a's therefore if you don't feel you are being addressed you don't consider yourself a N***a.

So therefore if you don't consider yourself an N-word then you are a racist?

I just think the vast majority of us identify as 'n-word's, and this is a good example.

Who is "us"?

Cracker is only an insult if you do know it's original meaning. Unless you think being a slaver is a compliment.

Mooney and Pryor fought the N word and won.
Why does everyone give it up so easy.

I think so. That's probably the core of my poor argument.
It's more about the automatic response tho.

Well if that's the case have fun with your argument. I'm certainly not going to stoop down low enough to participate in that one. Good luck with your thread.

You do know not all Crackers were White right? But please do go on. I use the word only in certain circumstances. like when i was being called a cracker before. I told them you do know that means you think im in charge then huh? Because a cracker was usually the one cracking the whip when they got out of line.

Also a "cracker" was not just for whites. Cattle drivers, and others were all crackers from time to time.

I tried. Twice.

I can't understand what they're saying. Truly.

My hearing isn't great, but I also don't speak RAP so I'm sure it's a failing on my part.

You folks carry on though...
