Intuition

Someone once asked;" What motivates you? " I thought the question was weird, illogical. He wanted to hear an answer that even i didnt know the answer to, so i replied;" What motivates me? .... I dont know... Why do you ask?". He looked at me probably thinking;" He doesnt know what motivates him?! "

" What makes you do things? " he asked.. I looked at him with wondering eyes;" My gut feeling. Do i need to be motivated to act righteous, do you force an act of righteousness? Is your motivation to act in your self interest instead of doing what is right? " i said.

He thought of a clever answer, cause the smirk on his face knew he had something to say that made him feel smart;" What is right and what is wrong? " and the smirk never left.

" If someone needs to tell you right from wrong, then you sure lack intuition ". I said, and his smirk left his face.
