Lol. Looked like Trump was crushing his hand.

I think the Prime Minister there is accustomed to a certain someone bowing, instead of shaking hands and looking a man in the eye.

Did the article actually say the meeting went well???

I cant believe the MSM is actually giving Trump props for diplomacy!!!

Edit: just watched the vid, that was pretty awkward and funny, it almost seems and sounds like hes saying "please let go, thats too tight" hahaha

S&F for the laugh

The Japanese photographer asked PM and POTUS to look at each other during the handshake. Abe understood, and told Trump, "Please. Look at me."

Actually Japanese people do not like to shake hands.

Some may get annoyed when Westerners always want to shake hands.

Well that's too bad. Bowing is for serfs.

When I worked in international distribution I always loved it when the Japanese folks would add "san" at the end of my first name. Turns my name into another actual form of my name which i found awesome and kind of funny ^_^

The handshake for the camera moments are usually awarded as the person on the left has to twist around more for the camera. Japan had the upper position on that grab with America making it clear that it has every intention to maintain their grip on the situation.
