Anyone interested in bringing back debate forum

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to revive this forum.

I think all you have to do is start a topic there and ask a challenger to respond.

Then if I remember, a Moderator sets some rules etc.

1) Legacy dams and man made reservoirs: Do they affect the hydrologic cycle, particularly in the Northern Hemisphere, and specifically in northwest-US.

2) Is time long, or is it wide?

or

3) If all man made objects and carbon life forms in the Southern Hemisphere immediately transferred to the Northern Hemisphere, would it affect the Earth's axial tilt?

Ok cool. Yeah I agree. But I do think it should be something broad like human vs AI.

I'm in! Not to flood the thread with too many topics but I would be very interested in a debate about consciousness.. mind vs brain debate..

But AI is fascinating as well. I'm waaay out of my league in any hydrologic cycle debate for sure.

College vs. none.

Nasa vs. private space exploration

GMO good or bad

Just tossing some ideas out

automated driving good or bad

circumcision (male) yes or no

Or you could have a like hero or villian debate where one person argues the person should be celebrated, the other against it

Such as

Thomas Edison

Mother Theresa

Ronald Reagan

etc.

The old throw down forums...I think the reason they are not around anymore is twofold: Lack of moderators dedicated to the idea; lack of debaters worthy of such moderation.

I would be a spectator. Did you actually see the old debate threads? Damn...it wasn't just I said, you said. Those people went at it mad style.

That is exactly what I would like to see. It would have been great to see some pre-election debates or even some cabinet choices.
