Hahaha, Trump wins again.

Snowden will get the death sentence or life in prison. Putin caves to Trump but Snowden lived carefree under Obama, what a difference.

U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a "gift" to President Donald Trump — who has called the NSA leaker a "spy" and a "traitor" who deserves to be executed.

What a shame. It seems we will be an age without heros.

Sorry he foiled the governments attempts to infringe a Gestapo like blanket surveillance over all citizens, law abiding and all. You seem privy to that.

Sigh, again?

Unnamed source and the article contradicts that unnamed source more than once.

his layer said there's "no new reason for concern".

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said talk about returning Snowden is "nonsense."

I wondered if this was coming. Snowden's rope has run out.

He ran to China ... then he ran to Russia.

More articles from fake news outlets with mysterious unnamed sources.

I will believe this when I see it. Though I do hope it isn't true.

If Trump was in Putin's pocket, why would Putin need to give Trump a gift? NBC as the source. Okay, now for the humor showing up in the NBC tweet's comments:

Hahaha. Love the Stephen Curry meme.

The source is NBC so what do you expect.... I mean other than lies from NBC. NBC knows the reaction from certain groups and who will target Trump.

The left / lame stream media is doing all they can to undermine Trump.

Fake news……

Edward Snowden’s lawyer Anatoly Kucherena believes a suggestion by former CIA acting director Michael Morell to extradite his client to the US is “utter nonsense.” In Morell’s opinion, Snowden would make “the perfect inauguration gift” for Donald Trump.

“These statements coming from the former CIA head are stirring mixed feelings and can be seen only as a kind of utter nonsense, there is hardly any other way to put it,” Kucherena told RIA Novosti in response to Morell’s suggestion of extraditing Snowden from Russia, which he made on Sunday.

hope the orange face buffoon dismisses this as well, or does he..?

Not likely.

Trump tweeted: "Snowden is a spy who should be executed."

The source is NBC so what do you expect

From any modern MSM article I expect one of the following: unnamed source(s), bias outside of any quotes, interviews with named sources that either support or detract from their target and / or propaganda in the form of attempting to emotionally manipulate the reader.

The left and right both do these things, sadly.

I wish people would say in their OPs if a story has an unnamed source. A lot of those tend to be about things that are happening "soon" and then never happen.

Trump tweets a lot of things.

Talks about too:

Edward Snowden, the man at the heart of the NSA information leaks, is nothing but a “traitor” — and America ought to recreate history in dealing with him, real estate mogul Donald Trump said on a “Fox & Friends” interview.

In other words, execute him, Mr. Trump implied.

“I think Snowden is a terrible threat, I think he’s a terrible traitor, and you know what we used to do in the good old days when we were a strong country — you know what we used to do to traitors, right?”

Very sad if true.

We need full immunity for those who are brave enough to expose criminal government.

Trump has called him a "traitor" which implies that he would be subject to the death penalty...

Was Snowden a spy
It's not like governments to hand over spies, it kinda causes all sorts of problems
Curry favour, I am sure there are more important things to the Russians than US favour

If Russia did hand him over it's akin to cutting off their own nose, it's just not how diplomacy works
The Ruskies would encourage leaks, and leakers, not punish them

Unless of course he has upset the Russians somehow
Anyway, who knows....

If this were True, and if we're reading about this on ATS, if there is a valid concern that he is going to be extradited, he would know about it and Russia would want to keep him under extra security until they transport him.

But from the sound of it, it is an unnamed source and this whole premise is probably BS

This story started out NBC's headline news program on national TV tonight.

If it is Fake News, does that prove Trump was right about them?

Trump wins either way.

I still dont believe it though.. Trump has already stated sanctions on Russia wont be lifted until they withdraw from Ukraine, including Crimea.

It might be a response to Trump removing the FSB from a sanction list obama put in place before he left office.

It's a load of shiite, his leave to remain was only extended less than a month ago, that's a tad longer than PRISM's leave to remain in force.
The 'source' is likely former CIA acting director Michael Morell's old remarks. In Morell’s opinion, Snowden would make “the perfect inauguration gift” a bit the former on the job now. Perhaps the crazies like Bannon and his mate Milos, thought it a good idea for five minutes.
