None of the newly learned information relates to the salacious allegations in the dossier. Rather it relates to conversations between foreign nationals. The dossier details about a dozen conversations between senior Russian officials and other Russian individuals. Sources would not confirm which specific conversations were intercepted or the content of those discussions due to the classified nature of US intelligence collection programs.

But the intercepts do confirm that some of the conversations described in the dossier took place between the same individuals on the same days and from the same locations as detailed in the dossier, according to the officials. CNN has not confirmed whether any content relates to then-candidate Trump.

The corroboration, based on intercepted communications, has given US intelligence and law enforcement "greater confidence" in the credibility of some aspects of the dossier as they continue to actively investigate its contents, these sources say.

CNN is not giving up on this. They are implying, in my opinion, that since some of the dossier appears to be true (according to their sources) then the allegations of the more salacious aspects must be true as well.

Spokespeople for the FBI, Department of Justice, CIA and Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment.

Reached for comment this afternoon, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said, "We continue to be disgusted by CNN's fake news reporting."

Spicer later called back and said

"This is more fake news. It is about time CNN focused on the success the President has had bringing back jobs, protecting the nation, and strengthening relationships with Japan and other nations. The President won the election because of his vision and message for the nation."

www.cnn.com...

Looks like P Gate is not going to go away just yet.

I think most people know that the dossier is accurate. But, proof isn't all there, yet.

It's not the kind of thing anyone would just "make up."

I mean, why make up these particular stories, rather than other stories?

I can think of much more "juicy" stories to "make up" to put in a dossier, if I were limited only by my imagination.

So, there's got to be some hard evidence behind all this, like activities caught on tape, that may be released later.

It's exactly the kind of thing they make up. They've been doing it for years.

It's so ridiculous people have to click it. It's a win win for the Fake News Network. They get add revenue from page views and they get to push their BS propaganda all while never having to actually get sources or facts. And CNN is desperate for any kind of viewership and page views.

I'm just curious, what successes should the media be reporting on?

The immigration ordeal that got overturned? The alienation of almost every ally Trump has had a phone call with? The regulation EO that endangers air travelers? The half truths and lies that are spouted almost daily, without care from this administration?

Not trying to pick a fight, but I don't see a lot of positives to report. Unless you want the media glossing over reality to report things that make you feel good as a Trump supporter.

But, this dossier was produced by intelligence community for the intelligence community, and passed along by a Senator.

It's not some fake news invented by some website to get page hits, and ad clicks.
