I think that most movies today, even action ones, try to shove politics or ideologies into them.
I remember when I was young, and every summer you could count on a cheesy Arnold and a cheesy Stallone movie. No ideology, no deep message, just ten
minutes at the beginning to quickly make some plot as an excuse for Arnie or Sylvester to kill a bunch of people.
Can't wait to see it myself, the first John Wick movie really surprised me as I had not heard much about it at all and just figured "oh...another
action movie". I'm not sure if it was the music, atmosphere, or that Keanu's wooden acting method fit the roll perfectly but it still remains one of
my favourite movies.
