Donald Trump offers to 'destroy' Texas state senator's career for Rockwall sheriff.

Concerning asset forfeiture laws, Sheriff Harold Eavenson said, "We've got a state senator in Texas that was talking about introducing legislation to require conviction before we could receive that forfeiture money. And I told him that the cartel would build a monument to him in Mexico if he could get that legislation passed."

Trump responded: "Who is the state senator? Do you want to give his name? We'll destroy his career."

I'm sure there are public servants who support Civil Asset Forfeiture.

But libertarians and real conservatives (and even some liberals) who believe in the rule of law and due process, are firmly against it.

Very few policies are as unAmerican as Civil Asset Forfeiture.

Trump called Snowden a traitor for essentially exposing a criminal government.

Now this.

I found this to be extremely disappointing.

Here is the video of the actual exchange.

Read about this today.

I don't like the idea of the process without conviction. It was been misused too often.

The Texas Legislature's website shows a handful of senators who have introduced civil asset forfeiture legislation this session. State Sen. Konni Burton, R-Fort Worth, State Sen. Juan Hinojosa, D-McAllen, and State Sen. Don Huffines, R-Dallas have each submitted bills related to either "repealing" asset forfeiture or further defining what goods and items can be seized.

That is from the article. Senator's names are not secret.

Guess the big bad evil Trump has a lot of careers to ruin.

waaaaaaaa! waaaaaaaa!

Good sense of humor by Trump.

But I bet the "message" was hyperboled.

I don't know of any liberal that is pro civil forfeiture. In fact, the only ones on board with it are every law enforcement agency anywhere because they can abuse it and profit. Trump suppprting this doesn't surprise me.

People obviously laughed.

But there was nothing "funny" about his response.

Heres what Trump should have said:

"Whats the Senator's name? He has my full support and I will do what I can to mirror his efforts on the federal level. Civil Asset Forfeiture is unAmerican and unconstitutional".

Ahh yes, Tyrant Trump is a joker..he just says dumb stuff so far out of this reality simply to "troll"
except for the minor fact that he has done every effin thing that the hardcore right has said he was joking about..all of it.

by "triggers the triggerables", do you actually means "concerns people who actually listen to him"?

I love how when Tyrant Trump says something outstandingly authoritarian, the only backup from the cultists are...oh, he's such a joker...bork bork.

Lots of times there are no convictions.

Thanks to hopping across the border.

Thanks to lawyers.

IF enough has been collected, but they evade before arrest ?

I don't have a problem with asset seizure.

In a case of law , there is no issue.

I can only hope its your stuff your government, that you suddenly love soo dearly to the point of wish for total authoritarianism, takes first.

We used to live in a country where you are innocent until proven guilty..you are now an advocate for that to be removed. Well done. Do the robes fit well or do they chaffe a bit initially?

Considering other current events.

The law seems to be a very big issue when even the judicial systems is a failure.

I know you aren't discussing Obama. Trump was routed and demoralized by him for 8 solid years, it was only when O literally couldn't be in office anymore by rule of law that Trump could make traction.

But go on..tell me more about your god emperor old Tinyhands
