The Air Force announced a $36M contract modification to the Northrop Grumman B-21 contract. The modification is funding for Northrop to build a 45,900
square foot coatings plant, to be completed by 2019. The B-21 wasn't specifically mentioned, but it's the only known aircraft that fits.
It's thought that the coatings for the first aircraft can and will be applied elsewhere, as IOC is set for 2025. That wouldn't give much time
between finishing the building and applying the coatings for IOC aircraft.
Wonder if it will be a one stop shop from the f117 to the f35, can just imagine some guy with a sponge waiting at the place asking for 5$ for a
pre-clean
S&F I'm like 8 for 10 when seeing these threads and assuming which ones are posted by you Zaphod. I have to say,,, Thank you for putting your time and
effort into postings. It literally saves me the time of researching everything and anything myself so I can utilize my time following up into any
further details out there.
